I’d done all I could for Valerian, I just hoped it was enough. I had sworn to Haze that if anything happened to my brother, I would never forgive him.
He was reluctant at first to speak to Drake about Amaris, but I was persistent. I told Haze I’d never asked him for anything in all the time we’d been together.
I told him it was time he showed me just how important to him I was. Haze didn’t like to meddle when it came to the shewolves, but I knew Drake wouldn’t “play” fair, and I wouldn’t see Amaris or Valerian hurt because of it.
Fated mates were incredibly rare, there had to be a greater reason they were selected for each other. I wanted both of them to have the opportunity to explore it if that’s what they chose.
