Haze and I had spent most of the day after the doctor’s appointment together. My back was feeling a lot better, the doctor had offered to lick my wounds making Arctic growl out through Haze. Haze had stripped right there in the exam room and tenderly licked my lashes before the doctor dressed them.
We’d gone home and planned out the nursery in the room next to ours, I wanted my pups as close as possible. I did my best to push what Felix had said to the back of my mind for now. I’d die before I’d ever let them do to my daughter what they had done to me. I wished the other pup had let us see it’s gender, but the doctor said we would look again in a few weeks at my next check-up.
