Work is so slow today knowing that every minute I am here, I could be with Lillian.? She is in that man's house, and he might be hurting her right now.? With so many things filling my head, it is difficult to work, and I almost go home for the day.? Except for the fact that this new bike we are working on, is for a man who saved every penny for the last twenty years to get it.??
Jeremy lost his leg overseas when a roadside bomb in Iraq blew him and his team's convoy up.? He was lucky, the rest they were picking up in pieces for days.? Matter of fact, a few of them, they never did find all their body parts.??
When he lost it and came back to the states, he vowed that he would be able to ride again if it took everything he owned and made.? Hearing about him, I made some calls and got him a grant.? It took care of the cost of the parts, and I am giving him all the labor free of charge.? It's the least I can do for someone who lost his leg for this country.
Almost done with the job, we put on the finishing touches and polish the chrome plating, so you can see your smile in it.? A little bit later, I call him and when the camera crews show up, I am not the least bit surprised.? With full fanfare, we present him with his beautiful patriotic chopper, including all the bells and whistles.? The smile on his face is so much more rewarding than any amount of money I could have made from this job, that I beam with satisfaction.??
The minute I hear her start up and he takes off, I close my eyes and take a huge sigh of relief, because now I can go home and figure out what to do about Lillian.? Waiting for everyone to leave, I sweep up the shop floor and try to hurry them along, but of course someone wants an interview.? I oblige and then tell them, "I really have to go, thank you for the honor of having me on your show."? Motioning for them to leave, I watch as the last person walks out the door.
Locking the door behind me, I hurry to my bike and let her rip.? I love feeling this one between my legs.? The sheer power and comfort, makes me proud to be her owner.? Going 90 down the back roads, I get home in about five minutes and after unlocking the door, I check my mail.
Nothing important, so I listen to my messages on the phone, before taking a shower.? Afterwards, I warm up a plate of spaghetti and relax in my recliner.? I turn on the T.V. and watch some new show that just recently was added to the Friday line up.?
Sitting there, I think about Lillian again and wonder what she might be doing right now.? When I am done eating and the show is over, I pull out my phone and call Connie with an idea.? It has been several weeks since the incident and I hope that George has gotten less paranoid about the situation then the last time I called her.
She answers the first ring, "Now is not a good time.? Lillian has just had a huge fight with George, and he is threatening to take the kids away from her.? He slammed the door behind him and left, but not before he told her that he knows she is cheating on him, and his lawyer has made arrangements to find the kids good homes."
Shocked, I don't know what to say, but tell her to go on.??
Lillian grabs the phone and I hear the two of them whispering to each other before she answers, "Jordan, I told him that if he tried, he would die first before I ever let him take my children."? I hear her sobbing and all I want to do is hold her in my arms and never let her go, make everything better and get rid of George.
Honestly, if I didn't think it would go south, I would have him killed, but knowing full well everyone that has hired a hitman goes to prison, I decide it's best not to.? Instead, I head over to her house and chance meeting up with George.
