13 FINDING FRIENDS Syrina wasn’t sure she could trust Ka’id and Kirin to let Kalis Jaya go, whatever they’d promised. She wasn’t sure how much she cared, either, but she couldn’t bring herself to have any hard feelings against another Kalis. But she didn’t want to spend more time thinking about it either, so she forced her mind to other things.
