Ka’id wished Kirin was there. Third-hand rumors were all she could dig up on her own without raising suspicions, and even then, she worried someone was getting close to figuring out who she was. Or rather, who she’d been.
Third-hand rumors they might be, but they still kept her up at night. Someone had found research notes pertaining to the Eheene disaster, or at least what had come before it. No details, other than it had to do with Kalis and the manipulation of old Artifacts. Nobody knew whose research it was, but even without seeing them herself, it had Ormo’s stink. Kirin might dig up more, but no telling when she’d be back from Fom.
