The next day was Wednesday, which was Leo’s study day. As he showered, ate his breakfast and gathered his books all he could think about were the native tomatoes that Dock had mentioned. He kept thinking he could smell them. He called Ollie, who declined meeting him to study, feigning a headache. “You ever have gazpacho?” Leo asked as he was about to hang up with Ollie. “A couple of times, why?” Ollie asked, sounding brighter at the mention of food. Leo couldn’t help but smile, knowing Ollie had about as a much a headache as he did. “No reason. Just thinking about trying to make some. I gotta go, you take care of that headache. I’m heading to the library, if you feel better.”
