I entered through the door first letting Hades follow behind me. I pushed myself against the hallway wall as I let my eyes adjust to the brightness. Far below us, I could see the arena that Maya had talked about. Hundreds of wolves were in tidy rows. Some were transformed, and some were not. Then there was the single line that stretched through the entire arena filled with crying and sniffling kids of all ages. “My God,” Hades whispered behind me. “It couldn’t be.” I nodded. I knew exactly what I was seeing. One of those first in the line was brought to Mason and forced to kneel in front of him.
