"I can see your fear, Louise, but I'm not him. I won't hurt you like he did. I will do everything in my power to make you happy and keep you safe," Carl says. His words wash over me and I know he is telling me the truth. I can see the honesty in his eyes. It's too early to believe that this man could love me, but I know in my heart that he won't hurt me. "I trust you, Carl. Please make me yours."
As soon as the words leave my lips, Carl slams his mouth down on mine. The kiss is anything but gentle, but I don't need gentle right now. I need him to show me everything I've never felt. Show me how much he wants me. How much I turn him on. My lips feel bruised by the time he pulls back. He stands to his full height and pulls his t-shirt off in one motion.
