Donovan opened his garage door, stepped outside into the sunshine, and grimaced at the heat. Not a cloud in the sky to dampen it, either. Damn. He bolstered his gumption, walked over to the corner, grabbed the handle on the push mower, and navigated his way onto the driveway before returning to get the gas can. After filling up the tank, he screwed the lid back on and replaced the gas in the garage. With the soaring temperatures, he didn’t dare chance the gas to get hot. Who knew what could happen then. A man walked along the sidewalk. Tall, dark, and handsome fit him to a ‘T.’ So did ‘deadly as sin.’ The boots, jeans, and T-shirt were typical apparel, Donovan had found in this area of the country. Though, he saw an occasional pair of shorts. Nothing like the big cities, that was for sure
