The hunt for answers

CHAPTER 3:THE HUNT FOR ANSWERS Desperate for answers, I searched the mansion. Whispers surrounded me: "Find the mirror, Emily... Face your destiny..." In the attic, I discovered an antique mirror with a message etched onto the glass: "Reflect your soul, Ravenwood" Images of my family's dark past assaulted my mind: brutal rituals, dark aura, and my own destiny The mirror shattered, leaving a message: "Three nights to surrender Or forever trapped" Chapter 4: Confronting the curse With time running out, I spent hours researching our family's history. At midnight, I confronted the darkness head-on. A figure emerged from the shadows, tall and gaunt. "You dare to confront the past?" it asked. I stood firm: "I refuse to surrender". The entity sneered: "Your family's debt must be settled. The past is coming to hunt you". I countered: "I'll pay with knowledge, I'll use my brain, not my heart; my mind is my currency". The entity presented a riddle: "What can be broken, but never held? What can be given, but never sold?" I had a thought, if the debt was not paid there was no trust maybe this is the reason why I'm being haunted. No trust. My mind racing, I answered: "Trust". The entity nodded: "Correct" The curse was lifted, and my family's debt is paid.
