I've always known that my family the Ravenwoods, have been haunted by a mysterious curse for generations. But I never imagined that I'd be the one to face its darkest consequences.
After my parent's mysterious disappearance, I inherited our ancient mansion. The same mansion where my great-grandfather made a pact with a dark entity to secure our family's fortune.
As I stepped inside, I felt a sudden coldness. Doors slammed shut on their own, chandeliers flickered and a portrait of my great-grandfather fell, revealing a hidden message:
"Your legacy is mine"
A loud crash echoed from the kitchen. I approached cautiously, finding shattered glass everywhere and a cryptic message scrawled on the wall in blood:
"The firstborn must pay"
CHAPTER 2: DARK SECRETS
I discovered a hidden diary revealing my great-grandfather's involvement in occult practices.
The diary exposed the dark: each generation's firstborn must confront their deepest fears, abandon a cherished dream, or relinquish a precious legacy to satiate the entity.
I realized that I was the firstborn of my generation, and the curse demanded a payment.
A noise echoed from the hallways.
Footsteps.
Heavy and deliberate.
Coming closer.
My heart pounded. Was I being watched?
I tried to shake o the feeling, but the shadows in the room seemed to deepen. I felt a presence looming.
