THE EMERGENCE

One day as prince Bruta was returning from the stream with the maids, he was ahead of them as his usual manner, then he sighted a young maiden on the ground crying with her pitcher broken before her. He walked up to her and noticed she was crying because of her broken pitcher, he gentle dropped his filled pitcher from his shoulder, he helped her up and wiped her tears off and then handed his pitcher that was customized for royalties, to her. She was amazed and could not even show gratitude to him as he left with a smile. Bruta first meet Lancelot when he arrived home, then Lancelot asked him of his pitcher, he simply told him that he gave it out to someone, as he put his hands around Lancelot. Then Bruta went to their Queen mother and reported himself, she held him close to her and whispered in his ears that he had done well. After a short while, Guine took ill and died as a result of the illness, despite the treatment administered to her. The kingdom mourned her demise for a week.

When Bruta and Lancelot turned fourteen, their father, king Uther, introduced them to the training of his royal guards, as they thrived in the training, the four best were singled out, and they were; Bruta, Lancelot, Hunith and Arthur. The four best were further exposed to rigorous skills in combat. Then Bruta and Arthur were noticed to be more daring than Lancelot and Hunith, so the both of them were engaged in a contest, in other to have the captain that would succeed the present captain at the Verge of retirement. After a sever struggle between the both of them, Bruta emerged to be the chosen one. A party was thrown by the king in the honour of Bruta captainship, after the celebration, the queen mother called Bruta and Lancelot into her chamber, and she blessed the both of them. In the morning after, every one in the palace were woken by the maid of the queen mother, as Bruta and Lancelot ran to her chamber, they saw their father, king Uther sited by the side of their Queen mother, the expression on his face, conveyed the news clearly to them, then they walked to their father and console him for the demise of their Queen mother. Five years after, Bruta and Lancelot became fully grown men and they were the pride of their kingdom especially Bruta, because of his simplicity and generosity. The nobles in the king's cabinet called for his attention and requested to know who among his sons would rule in his stead, he replied and said, any of his son that proves himself Worthy, would be the king. The king got an information about the revival of the most notorious group of rebels called eagles, he defeated years ago, and how their appointed leader would stop at nothing, until he destroy him( king Uther ), and his kingdom.
