PART 10 - ADRIAN GOES INSANE

843 Words
1. ADRIAN – DESTROYING THE WORLD FOR NADINE Adrian Callway was not a man who easily lost control. He was not the type to let go of something that belonged to him. And Nadine… was his. Now, he sat in a luxurious leather chair in his office, his sharp gaze piercing through the massive computer screen filled with data and information. Several men in black suits stood before him, their faces tense. "So far, there is no trace of Nadine, Mr. Callway," one of them reported cautiously. Adrian tapped his fingers on the desk, his expression unreadable. "So you're telling me that a little girl managed to disappear from this world just like that?" His voice was calm but carried a chilling threat. No one dared to answer. Adrian exhaled, then slowly stood up. He walked to the large window overlooking the city below. The lights flickered, life went on. But to him, everything felt empty. Since Nadine left, his world had lost its color. "Activate all our contacts. Check every corner of the city, every surveillance camera, every travel ticket out of the country." "But, Mr. Callway—" Adrian turned, his eyes deadly. "Do I look like I'm joking?" The man swallowed hard and immediately nodded. "We’ll move at once, sir." As soon as they left, Adrian let out a deep sigh. He rubbed his face in frustration. Every night, he couldn’t sleep. Nadine haunted him. He could still remember the scent of her hair, the sound of her breathing when she slept, the terrified look in her eyes when he gripped her chin roughly. He once thought he could have Nadine by any means necessary. But in the end… she was more stubborn than he had anticipated. But that didn’t matter. He would find her. He would teach her that there was no place in this world far enough to escape from him. --- 2. NADINE – ESCAPING THE SHADOWS OF THE PAST Far from Adrian’s dazzling world of luxury, Nadine inhaled the crisp morning air while standing on the balcony of her small apartment. She now lived in a quiet town where no one knew her. A place where Adrian would never find her. Lucas and Queen had helped her obtain a new identity. She was now Anna Williams, an ordinary woman working in a café, trying to live a simple life. But even though she had escaped Adrian, one thing was still hard to let go of—fear. Every time she walked down the street, she felt watched. Every time her phone rang, her chest tightened, thinking someone had found her. When working at the café, she always felt the urge to look over her shoulder, making sure Adrian wasn’t there. She knew his obsession knew no limits. "Are you okay?" The voice of Ethan Carter, her coworker, snapped her out of her thoughts. Nadine turned and gave him a small smile. "I’m fine." Ethan studied her deeply, as if trying to read her mind. "I hope one day you’ll truly be fine." His words made Nadine’s chest tighten. Because even though she was physically free… her soul was still imprisoned. But she made a promise to herself—she would learn how to live. --- 3. ADRIAN – ANGER EXPLODING Meanwhile, Adrian stormed into Queen Dior’s family home, his steps heavy. Queen straightened up on the sofa, her face paling at the sight of him. "Where is she?" Adrian asked directly, his voice cold and dangerous. Queen swallowed hard, trying to control her trembling body. "I don’t know." One second. Two seconds. Then, by the third second, Adrian was already in front of her, gripping her chin harshly. "You think I’ll believe that lie?" Queen bit her lip, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. She had helped Nadine escape, but she also didn’t want to see the girl live in constant fear. "Adrian, please…" He tightened his grip. "You knew from the start, didn’t you? I will never stop looking for Nadine." Queen looked into his eyes, seeing the obsession that had taken deep root inside him. Adrian would never give up. Even if the whole world stood against him… he would destroy everything to get Nadine back. --- 4. NADINE – TRYING TO FORGET EVERYTHING That night, Nadine sat on the rooftop of her apartment, gazing at the starry sky. Back when she was trapped in her life with Adrian, she often dreamed of nights like this. Nights where she could sit alone, without fear, without chains. But reality wasn’t that simple. She clutched the small locket around her neck—the only thing she had brought from her past. "Can I ever truly be free?" she whispered to herself. In the distance, she heard Ethan and his friends laughing. Life was moving on. And for the first time… Nadine wanted to move with it. Without Adrian. Without her dark past. But what she didn’t realize was… Adrian hadn’t given up. And when he found her again, there would be no second chance to run.
