Lee's Pov
It has been a week.. a week! She isn't back, she isn't here for my midnight chats, school has dismissed it and acted like she never went here, Jess is angry that Harleigh is gone.. her plans have messed up which means she is furious with everyone around her. We were sat in class as the teacher got up and opened the door 'new student?' I thought to myself "Students this is Joshua Jones, he is new to this school and I want you to be kind and show him around" She smiled and sat back down. This kid took sat at the back as he pulled his hood up, something about him didn't sit right with me and I was going to figure out what it was.
After school I approach Josh and rolled my eyes, he's stood there like he owns the damn place. I took a deep breath and put my hand out "Yo I'm Lee, this school is s**t and its nice to meet you" I said with s fake smile on my lips as he looked up at me and snickered. "I don't care who you are, what you do or your purpose in this place." He looked away and went back to talking to the girls he was talking too. Oh I did not like this guy at all "Alright then, well hope this place is hell for you" I responded and started to walk away, I was not in the mood for this crap anymore, someone has to find Harleigh and that would be me.
I didn't get very far until I had a grip on my shoulder pull me back, I was shocked that anyone dared me to touch me. When I turned around Joshua was stood there with an angry look 'haha' I laughed in my mind, who does he think he is? some big tough guy. I pushed him away and brushed myself off "Who do you think you are trying to start with me? This isn't your home town buddy, this is mine so back off" I gave a harsh tone as I rolled my eyes "Oh and Josh, I know what you're up too so just watch out"
I had gotten home and was sat in my bedroom, I had Harleigh's bag, phone and pin pointed her last where about's I feel so bad for acting the way I did but she just doesn't understand. I need to protect her, I need to save her, I need to bring her back and change things for the better, I can do this, I can save her.. but I might need help.
I think I have been walking for about an hour until I realised where I was. I had been thinking about the new kid and the ring he had on.. it was Harleighs.. she had it the first day we met, how did he get it. Before I knew what I was doing I had knocked on Lucas's door, Harleigh was friends with him and im hoping he will help, hoping is not want I want to feel but its all I have. Lucas opened it looking confused as to why I was here, I mean I don't blame him we aren't the best of friends or even friends for that matter. "Uh hey lucas, I need your help and im hoping you will" I said sort of nervously, after our last encounter wasn't the best.
"What do you want Lee? its almost 9 and I have s**t to do." He was blunt, so blunt, he looked annoyed, "Look Lucas we don't see eye to eye but Harleigh has been missing for over a week and everyone has given up looking for her and I really think shes in trouble. Please hear me out?" I looked at him with a begging look, this was so unlike me but I was desperate to find her and bring her back. It is just not the same without her. After a couple minutes Lucas agreed to help me and offered me to enter. we had spoken for about 2 hours I think it was, I had explained the ring on this kids had and that it was Harleighs, he knew what I was on about which made it more confusing as to why we had never met this kid and he has her ring, we were gonna find out.
