The Visit

Kimberly’s POV:   I glanced to my wrist, it was 11:25 p.m. I carefully opened my gown, pushed the laundry bin by its foot pedal to open, and put the dirty gown into it. Then I opened my nitrile gloves and threw it into the trash bin. I went to the sink to wash my hands with soap, cleaned up my face as well, and walked back to the locker to remove my scrub and got dressed into prior clothes, a white ruffle blouse, nude trousers, and the white coat. I was switching the Crocs into kitten-heel pumps when Dr. Bradley and Avery came to the locker area, opening their gowns and gloves. “Thank you, Everyone. I’m going first,” I told them. “Go on, Kimmy. You must be tired. We’ll just wait for him until being moved to RMEC,” Dr. Avery answered, peeking from the locker door with a smile upon her lips. I nodded, our Rapid Medical Evaluation Center offered more spacious waiting room for Mr. Knight’s family.  Dr. Avery then came over me and offered me her damp hand, whispering an early happy birthday in my ear. I was surprised, but smiled and thanked her softly. “Thanks, Kimmy. We’re so lucky to have you tonight. I adore your subcuticular suture. We won’t get complained on his incisional scars,” Dr. Bradley also came over me, gave me warm smile, and offered a handshake, saying happy birthday in mute and winked.  I chuckled to his lame joke, “Most welcome. But we all did good tonight, so thank you all. I’ll see you, Guys,” I waved to the two residents and nurses in the room and exited through the small door. There were quite many people in front of the OR, apparently the family members, staffs, and even police officers have been expecting someone getting out of OR and giving them information on patient’s condition. An old lady in a fur coat came in a rush with sad face. “Excuse us, Doctor Vanderwood? How about our son?” she asked in trembling voice.  She was still wearing a long gown underneath the coat. She’s a beautiful graceful woman even in her fifties with blonde hair in an elegant up do. An old man with a grey hair and mustache wearing white tie underneath his coat, hugging her from behind. “Are you Mr. Dylan Knight’s parents?” I politely asked for confirmation. “Yes, we are,” they answered in unison. “He had his left shoulder sutured, fortunately there was no fracture or major damage to his shoulder, but he had abdomen trauma which caused internal bleeding and we managed to seal any leaking blood vessels. He has received blood transfusion inside and will be moved to recovery room in few minutes. Don’t worry, Ma’am, Sir. He’ll be fine,” I smiled and warmly touched Mrs. Knight’s hands. She was sobbing, “Oh, Thank Goodness. Thank you, Doctor. Thank you,” she said in her cries and turned back to hug her husband.  “Thank you, Doctor Vanderwood,” Mr. Knight nodded. I politely nodded back, “He’s a strong fighter, Sir,” I smiled, “Please excuse me, Ma’am, Sir. The other doctor will explain further in few minutes. Have a goodnight,” I excused myself and left them.  There were relief faces around them, most of them wearing formal attires, probably from party. I spotted Ryan Knight came to hug his parents, smiled at me, and gave me a grateful nod. I smiled back at him. When I was about leaving the hallway to elevator, two men wearing dark grey suits came to me with one of them showing me NYPD badge. The tall younger one was a handsome man in early thirties. His attractive dark eyes glowed in curiosity. “Doctor Kimberly Vanderwood, one moment please?” the older man with rough face asked. I nodded, “Yes?” “I’m Detective Hernandez and this is Detective Cole from NYPD. May we ask about the patients from the crash tonight?” he asked, putting back his badge into his pocket. I sighed, but then Dr. Tim Walker, the Emergency Department Chief, came and tapped my shoulder. “I got this, Kimberly,” he smiled and turned to the NYPD detectives, “I’m sorry, Doctor Vanderwood is probably very tired tonight. I’m Timothy Walker, the chief of emergency department, will be helping you to provide information you need,” he spoke and offered his hand to them. I saw a glint of disappointment from Detective Cole’s eyes, but I smiled to him, and excused myself politely after thanking to Dr. Walker.  After going back to my office to get my bag, I went out to the parking garage to get my car. After exiting the elevator, suddenly I felt a cold wind on my face. I shuddered a little and tightened up my white coat. I faster my walking pace as I felt goosebumps again. I remembered the pale face with green eyes glowing in red. I almost tripped my feet when running to my silver Honda and felt a huge relief after being inside my car.  “Silly me,” I muttered low and hit my forehead, then switched on the car and heading out of the hospital building to my apartment located only five-minute drive from hospital. Soon after getting my car parked and going up to the thirteenth floor into my cornered apartment, I opened the big window curtain to have night city view and lights. While my tub was filled with the warm water, I opened the fridge to get a cold tiny muffin. I took a small plate and a candle from the kitchen’s cabinet and put them all on the table. I was undressing with Moonlight Sonata playing from iPod touch on the table, which I got it from Carla, as birthday present last year, then headed to the bathroom to have a quick bubbly bath. øøøøø   I woke up in dark and eerie silence, shivering in the tub, wondering why the lights went off. I must have been fallen asleep for few minutes. I pulled out the tub’s plug, got up, and rinsed my body and hair, feeling nothing but stiffness. I tried to reach for my towel when I was feeling sort of an alien presence lurking somewhere near. I panicky grabbed the wet towel previously I used for headrest and covered my body with it, then carefully went out of the bathtub and tried to reach for door knob. After opening the door, the city lights by the bedroom windows lightened up the bathroom. I was feeling cold, but probably because wearing wet towel with dripping wet hair as well. I tried to console myself to not feeling any goosebumps, but I was almost running to my bed side to get my phone when I slipped the wet floor and fell hard on my back with the head landed first. I titled my head, feeling pain.  The last time I remembered before passing out was seeing two red eyes lurking at the corner of my bedroom’s door.   Alexander’s POV:   I was silently laughing, seeing that small petite human suddenly running into his car. She looked ridiculous. I could smell her fear without having to read her mind.  Doctor Kimberly Vanderwood.  I licked my fangs. If only I didn’t have to finish my business here, I would follow that little human and get my curiosity killed. I inhaled her sweet irresistible scent in the air for the last time and let her leave. I took out my phone to call Andrei to bring the body. A black Range Rover pulled over in front of me. Andrei gave me a bow and opened the baggage. He stepped aside when I came over and touched the body in a bag and teleported along with it to the morgue.  Having the privilege ability to teleport is not really convenient as I had to exactly see or to experience the place first in order to have precise teleportation. The morgue is located in basement of the main hospital building, while the parking garage is situated in different building, a couple blocks from the main hospital building. Inconvenient parking space, one of the thing I dislike from this city. Three minutes later, I was already in the back seat of my black Maybach, pulling over my phone and dialed Andrei. “Make sure Avery Ronan will not remember,” I ordered him. “Yes, Your Highness. I will do it myself,” he replied. “And the footages?” I asked, thinking about all those scattered video surveillances at hotel and highways. “Already working on it, Your Highness,” he answered. “I do not accept mistake, Andrei,” I warned him. “Yes, Your Highness,” he confirmed.  “Do you have the address I asked earlier?” I looked at the billboard on the street we were passing by, the model in the ad has cerulean blue eyes.  Almost like her eyes, bright blue eyes.  “Yes, I have, Your Highness. I sent it to you now,” he answered. I checked my phone and grinned. It was almost midnight. I ordered Jan, my driver through telepathy, informing the address. It’s time to visit that sweet scented little human. Soon after pulling over, I looked up to the building in front of me, it has thirteen stories. Lucky for me, hers was on top of the building on the left corner front. I calculated first and ascended. I thanked to my ancestors that her window was widely opened so I could see inside of the living room. In less than a second, I was already inside of her apartment.  Her apartment was rather small but nice and tidy. A classical music was playing, but I could still hear soft breath and slow heart rate of hers. I inhaled her scent, arousing. I couldn’t believe I acted like a pervert to human, but I felt too weak to back off.  What a loony.  I growled quietly, then I was waiting for few minutes in front of the closed bathroom door in her bedroom and decided to trick the electricity, I concentrated a little and the lights were flicking and died. I heard an increased rate of heartbeat and deep breath, she was woken up, and as if she could feel my presence. I backed off a little bit when hearing the sound of dripping water and her breath kept getting shorter. And soon after stepping out of the bathroom, she was running and then fell on her butt and head. I was smirking for her reckless action while her hazy eyes were on mine, before she passed out. I came to her, examined her state, lying barely naked and wet. My long-gone heart was pounding so fast, as if I couldn’t breathe. She is so beautiful, I had no idea this small human is even more beautiful in close up. I inhaled her scent and touched her neck to the nape. Without thinking further, I put another hand on her bum, carried her in bridal style, and carefully put her in the bed. I sat next to her, my right hand was caressing her face and neck, tucking hair strand aside her face, and I smelled blood, O negative, the most delicious one. I reached to the back of her head, it was swollen and there was a slight blood indeed. I inhaled the bloodstain on my fingers and licked. Suddenly I was feeling overwhelmed of wanting more, like seeing colorful particles floating in the air, so I climbed onto her still body, hungrily kissed her rosy lips and neck while my fingers were pulling up her wet towel down. Tasting her lips and skin made me even wilder in lust and so I bit her neck, sucking her sweet blood as nectar into my dry throat, taking a large gulp at once while deepening my fangs with my hands holding her hands above the head. My body pinned to hers tight and my hardness was on her belly. Suddenly I stopped, realizing her purity.  She is still virgin, f*****g pure. I couldn’t believe how this beautiful little human could preserve her body untainted. She has amazing body, slim waist with toned abs and curvy hips. Her breasts are round and quite big for such a petite short human. And I couldn’t believe myself that I almost rape her innocence. I haven’t ever been with human even when I had human slaves a long time ago. Her body is typical human, a little too warm, considering mine. I growled in disbelief, feeling pre-c*m in my pants. I held out her delicate hands, feeling soft writhing under my body and her squealing inside her mind, I bit my bottom lip and kissed her, giving her my blood to relieve pain for both body and mind, then I licked my bite mark to seal it. When I almost tempted to suck it again, I got up from her, fixed her towel, and lifted her back and put her down on the floor.  I took my last glance and fled the way I got in. This was f*****g insane, I had no pity or heart to humans ever, but my heart was beating again for her and my c**k was unbearable twitched, asking for a release. I urgently need a freezing cold shower. >I ordered him through telepathy. “Yes, Your Highness,” he answered. I closed my eyes, trying to calm my sense and teleported to bathroom in my penthouse. I quickly undressed my clothes and went under the running shower. I tried to divert my attention to resume the whole events tonight.  After meeting with Adriana, my little sister who preferred staying at different hotels rather than at my penthouse each time visiting, I was supposed to go back to my castle in British Columbia as my uncle, Thomas was visiting with his wife and daughter. He might also expect for my explanation on the unexpected incident with those stupid humans tonight. No, actually the whole incident was caused by one stupid of our own kind who couldn’t understand being lay low instead of biting and ripping human’s heart in a hotel whereas cameras were everywhere, causing casualties from both sides, as I had to rip off the head of Andrei’s subordinate for the mistake he made. It was just coincidence that I could hear the mind of that Knight’s chauffeur after leaving the hotel when I was on my way to meet Cameron, my cousin, at Lady Frumos’s new hideout at Murray Hill. Because I canceled my plan, Cameron went straight to my castle now and I was no longer intrigued to go there myself, even if usually I would go to every home and secret hideout of all vampires in my region and they all have sworn to obey my rule and were obliged to report every new property, so that I would have precise map for teleportation.  Other rulers ought to have questions since I rarely took care anything myself in public area. I had destroyed the evidence as the phone was putting in the morgue along with Knight’s chauffeur. That way, I was no longer had to kill his master. And I had my time with that sweet scent human, I smirked. Wanting to taste her again as her deliciously sweet taste and scent was all over my veins and skin. My c**k started to get hard again.  For the ancestors’ sake. øøøøø   Cole’s POV:   I was standing with Hernandez, when seeing a young female doctor wearing her white coat came out of the operating room. She was greeted by Mr. Knight’s family members as they have been expecting someone out of the room for more than an hour. I was watching at her in awe. She’s beautiful, yet so short. I cleared my throat when she was walking to our direction. “Doctor Kimberly Vanderwood, do you have one moment?” Hernandez called her first. She stopped and nodded to him, “Yes?” Her blue eyes met mine. Looking tired with a slightly damp hair bun, but she is even more beautiful up-close. “I’m Detective Hernandez and this is Detective Cole from NYPD. May we ask about the patients from the crash tonight?” Hernandez asked. She sighed, like she didn’t expect to stay any longer when a man wearing stripe shirt under his white coat, walked passing through us and tapped her shoulder. “I got this, Kimberly,” he smiled at her and turned to us, “I’m sorry, Doctor Vanderwood is probably quite tired tonight. I’m Timothy Walker, the chief of emergency department, will be helping you here to provide information,” he spoke and offered his hand to us. I shook his hand after Hernandez. “Since Doctor Walker is already here, would you please excuse me, Gentlemen. Good night,” she nodded and smiled to us and walked away to the elevator. We all replied her farewell in unison. I kept watching at her until she was really out of sight when Hernandez made a fake cough. I turned my attention back to Dr. Walker. “I believe you have to check Mr. Knight first before giving us information on his condition. We’ll be back in thirty minutes, Doctor Walker. Is that alright? We must see the deceased ones in the morgue,” Hernandez spoke calmly to Dr. Walker. “Yes, please do. You may take the elevator from over there, just press for the basement level, Detective,” Dr. Walker pointed to hallway opposite to whereas Dr. Vanderwood left earlier and walked away to meet Mr. Knight’s family. “Let’s go,” Hernandez led me to the elevator, “She’s one beautiful creature, right?” Hernandez continued while we were walking to the elevator bank.   I just nodded and didn’t bother to make further comment as Hernandez will kept teasing me later once he knew that I have interest on her. Well, do I? “Didn’t we see the bodies already?” I asked. “The commissioner asked for our bureau chief to re-inspect the bodies before our coroners came to help hospital’s pathologists,” he outlined. I nodded, “And that’s because of the missing hearts, Mr. Knight, and Mr. Madden’s driver,” I mumbled low, recalling to the crash scene.
