"Alfred, I was about to call you" I heard Mira say behind me.
Wait, they know each other?
"I know. You texted me yesterday," Alfred replied.
"Meet my cousin, Violet. Violet meet my longtime friend, Alfred". Mira introduced us.
"Cousin? I only know of Lucian Archer"
"Yeah. She's his sister. Stepsister, actually, they became one month ago"
"Oh... Nice to meet you, Violet"
"Me too, Alfred" I gave a tight-lipped smile, secretly assessing the tall man dressed in tuxedos and shinning shoes, his brown hair in a neat side part style which stopped right on his nape.
We were led into the building by Alfred, Mira's friend, whom I bumped into. He seemed like the owner of the place, seeing how everyone was bowing to him as we walked.
