Chapter 07

1054 Words
It had been exactly 5 hours since Lexi and Aleya left Tessa’s house. It was already 8pm. Nighttime had already caught up to them. Lexi and Aleya had just gotten to the airport. They hoped they could still make it to an open airport without having to wait till the night day. Bringing out their belongings out of the car, they closed the doors. ‘’What do we do about the car?’’ Aleya asked, looking at it then Lexi. ‘’There’s nothing we can do…we can’t take it on the flight with us. We have to leave it here.’’ Lexi replied her with a neutral look on her face. Aleya spent some seconds thinking. ‘’We can’t sell it either? Use the money for ourselves when we get to our destination?’’ She asked again. ‘’That could work.’’ Lexi nodded. It was actually a smart thing to do. They could put it up for auction, and when they sell it and get the money, they would lead the buyer to where the car was parked. It was a good idea. Before Lexi could walk into the airport, Aleya began to speak again. ‘’Lexi…we still have major problem.’’ ‘’What is it?’’ ‘’How do we deal with this huge amount of money? The attendants will definitely get suspicious once they see 10000 dollars on us.’’ ‘’I honestly don’t know what to do about that right now, Aleya…’’ Lexi looked up at her. ‘’We should have deposited the money at the bank when we had the chance. And we passed a whole lot of them on our way here.’’ ‘’You think we can still make it happen? We don’t want to take any chances in there. If we don’t do something, all of this will be in vain. ’’Lexi picked up her phone and went straight to her phone assistant. Bringing the phone to her mouth, she began to speak. ‘’Siri, is there any bank around our location?’’ ‘’Yes. There is bank located not too far from your location. Within 15 minutes, you can get there.’’ Hearing her, Lexi and Aleya walked back to the exit of the airport. Bringing out the key from one of the bags, Aleya unlocked the door and they went back in at the same time. Aleya decided to take over the wheel since Lexi had been the one who drove them both to the airport earlier. ‘’Be on the lookout so we don’t pass it Lexi.’’ Aleya said, keeping her eyes on the road. While on their journey to the airport, the two had already come to the conclusion of going to Miami. Miami was the only place they knew they had some people to help them. Not that those people were that close, but they were better than having no one at all. Although they knew that Miami was way too close to Atlanta, they still had to go for it. As long as they weren’t in Atlanta anymore. Just like Aleya and Lexi, the rest of the girls were scattered all over. Unknown to the girls, Heather had already been caught up to and Isla was also the run. No one knew where any one was. It was one man for himself. A struggle to be free. And if they were careful, they would be able to save themselves. Not that they killed all the billionaires, but they drugged them and before that, came up with the intention of killing them. If they hadn’t taken anything from them, they wouldn’t be trying to escape from the city. Even though Neither Lexi nor Aleya were part of it, they knew they would still be put in jail. The Anderson family was that one family no one dared mess with. Now, Mr. Anderson was in the hospital, and Mrs. Anderson would make sure all the girls were put behind bars. That was sure. ‘’There it is’’ Lexi said quickly, pointing to the building on her side. They came to a stop. One after the other, they left the car, carrying the suitcase with them. ‘’I just hope we don’t get any questions.’’ Aleya mumbled. ‘’It’s a bank. I don’t think they would really care that much considering the fact that they would also gain from the money being deposited.’’ ‘’Are you sure? We’re talking about 10000 dollars’’ ‘’You have to be positive.’’ ‘’Lexi Myers talking about being positive? This getaway is really changing you.’’ Aleya shook her head. ‘’Whatever.’’ Lexi rolled her eyes. ‘’Let’s just go in.’’ After Lexi spoke lastly, the girls walked towards the entrance. When they got to the door, it opened automatically letting them in. Not that much people were around. After taking deep breaths, they both walked to an accountant that was right in front of them. Getting to her, they middle aged lady raised up her head. ‘’Just in time.’’ They heard her mutter. ‘’Hi, how can I help you today?’’ She said tiredly. ‘’Uhm…we would like to deposit money into our accounts. Separate accounts too. Thanks.’’ Aleya chose to speak. ‘’Where is it?’’ The lady asked and Aleya quickly put it on the counter separating them. Opening it up, the accountant seemed unfazed. ‘’How much is it?’’ ‘’10000 dollars.’’ Aleya said, trying to make sure she didn’t seem sketchy. Then, she and Lexi shared a glance. They watched as she took the suitcase and left their presence. They decided to remain quiet. They didn’t want to say a word to each other until they left the place. They wanted to seem as unbothered and calm as possible. Not long after, the same lady walked out. After clearing her throat, she went back to her seat. ‘’Done.’’ She smiled at them. The two girls instantly experienced a wave of relief. Grabbing the empty suitcase, they walked back out of the bank. Once they did, they began to see people taking their stuff and leaving as well. ‘’Oh thank goodness we got here just in time.’’ Aleya sighed. ‘’The bank is closing up.’’ ‘’Now we have to hope the airport isn’t doing so too. We have to get going.’’ Lexi said and they hurriedly went back into the car.
