ELEVEN By the time Lewis came to Ebola Square the dead and the half dead were piled high, while the living bustled back and forth, their masks covering their faces as they assisted the over-burdened Doctor Luther, who had been working flat out for several days. His helpers were some of the people Ebola had spared, who brought with them their own experience of being at death’s door, plus an understanding of what it was like to return to life’s embrace.
