IT WAS TURNING INTO the perfect day. But Casey couldn’t help it. Ben’s happiness gave her pause. It was the way he looked at her. The things he said. It wasn’t that she disliked how he how he smiled at her, or how his eyes lit up when he laughed. But did he mean it? Did he even know if he meant what he said? He hadn’t known what he wanted enough to stick around the first time, so how could she ask any more of him now?
