WHEN CASEY HEARD THE crunch of tires come up the road, she quickly scanned the bookshelf and pulled out a book at random, trying to look busy. She opened to a page around a third of the way through and propped her feet up as if she’d been reading all night. “At it again?” Ben stuck his nose up to the screen and stepped in. She kicked her boots down from the desk. “There’s a lot of excitement here on Saturday nights,” she said. “I see that.” “We’re heading back to camp, Ben!” Kristi called. “I’ll meet you guys in a minute,” he said through the screen.
