Chapter Four The first thought Casey had as the early light streamed through the windows was of a thin waist and strong back and the sensation of brushing the hair out of somebody’s eyes. She jerked under the covers with a start, not sure if she’d been dreaming about Ben or fantasizing while she was awake. Either way, the thought was disconcerting. She squirmed restlessly in bed. She was tired from having stayed up so late, but there was no hope of falling back asleep. She brushed her teeth, ate a few crackers, and peered out the window. The morning was blue and beautiful.
