Chapter Sixteen

Kai’s POV

I followed behind my mates’ brothers and fathers. Molten lava rage filled my veins. After seeing the future that would happen if this vile creature wasn’t terminated sickened me. That was my mate. Mine. Who he was abusing and violating. How dare he even think of doing such things.

The doors to the dungeon opened in front of me; the smell of blood, bodily fluids, and screams was all I could smell or hear. As we passed by cells, one with that b***h from my pack grabbed my attention.

“Alpha! Oh, Malakai you came for me!” She squealed in delight, only making me throw her a disgusted look in response, along with a threatening growl.

“Why is this b***h still breathing?” I asked through gritted teeth.

“We haven’t had a chance to kill her. We thought of having her exiled, but…” Leo said, trailing off at the end.

“If they threated my mate, they die! We’ve all seen what can happen if we allow people to go after their threats.” I state with a low growl.

“That was my sentiments exactly!” Luca said in agreement.

“One of you kill her. Now. While the rest of us deal with the other piece of shit.” I say as calmly as possible.

“I’ll do the honors Kai.” Bash says with a malicious smile looking at the she-wolf, who began to shake when the cell doors opened.

“WAIT! KAI NO DON’T LET THEM KILL ME. I’M YOUR MATE!!!” Grace shouted in hysterics, my steps faltered at her words, my wolf raising to the surface.

“What. Did. You. Just. Say?” Mav growled outraged. “You could NEVER be our mate. Our mate is now and will always be Stella.” And with that we continued down to Chris’s cell.

Jayden open the cell doors, and all of us, except Bash and Teo made our way into the cell. Chris was chained with silver cuffs in the form of an ‘X’, his ankles and arms restrained. I felt a menacing smile form on my lips looking at the pathetic wolf in front of me.

“Ahhh, Chris. How are you?” I ask with mock sympathy, only earning myself a glare from him.

“f**k you!” He spat back. “Where’s Stella? I want to see my mate!” He gritted out, only earning six growls in return.

“Is that why you plan on beating her and raping her? Because she’s your mate?” Luca roars.

“What? I would never hurt my Stella, I love her!” Chris argues back enraged, I must hold myself back from attacking him after that.

“Liar! We know what you plan on doing to her when she refuses you. Because she WILL refuse you. She has a mate, and it is NOT you!” Nick shouts back.

“No, no. I would never. She would come around. As soon as I mark her she’ll feel the same way as me. We’ll be happy together. I know she loves me.” Chris says with a determined look on his face.

“I will never love you and my neck would NEVER bear your mark.” A deadly tone is heard from behind us and by the scent that surrounds me I know who it belongs to. What is she doing down here? I turn around and see my perfect little Luna standing in front of the cell door, looking at Chris with pure hatred and disgust. I rush to her side, cupping her cheeks.

“Baby, what are you doing down here?” I ask, voice laced with concern.

“I needed to see him die. I need to know he’s gone forever. I need to Kai.” Her eyes are pleading with me.

“Okay baby. If that’s what you need, that’s what you’ll get.” I say with a firm nod.

“Stella no don’t let them do this! I love you and you love me!” Chris begs my mate with sad eyes, I thought it might soften my sweet mate’s heart. But when I looked at her all I saw was outrage.

“LIARR!” She roared. “You will NEVER touch me. NEVER hurt me. Because you will die, right here and now.” Stella says with a dangerous aura.

“YOU b***h!!” Chris screams back, fighting against his chains. A futile attempt if you ask me. Before any of us can react, a silver knife is thrown, embedding itself into Chris’ chest.

“Tsk. That’s not a very nice thing to call the woman you supposedly love.” Stella taunts, holding another knife in her left hand. She threw that? Damn she has great aim. I shouldn’t be turned on right now but seeing her this fierce and confident is sexy as f**k.

All that could be heard was his painful screams at this point, Stella pushed past us walking right up to Chris. She pulled the knife from his chest and began slicing various parts of his body.

“Your wolf has told you time and time again I am not your mate. He has begged you to be with your mate. Pleaded for you to stop this insane obsession with me. Yet you haven’t listened.” Stella says with a look of disappointment.

“He’s a fool. He loves someone who is weak and pathetic. He should love you, like I do.” Chris says through labored breathing.

“No, he should love his true mate. Something you should have done as well!” She spoke with her usual calmness. “I’m sorry you were paired to this human Cas, hopefully next time you have better luck. Goodbye Chris.” And with those final words Stella slits a straight line across Chris’s neck.

After a few minutes his eyes shut, and his heart stopped. He was dead, and Stella was the one to end him. She let out a shaky breath before looking at us with a small smile.

“Burn his body, I don’t want to leave anything up to chance.” She says and walks out of the cells. Once I come out of the shock of watching her kill someone, I rush after her. She’s already out of the dungeon by the time I catch up to her.

“Baby are you okay? I mean, it’s never easy taking someone’s life for the first time.” I say holding her arms gently, she looks at me confused and then lets out a small giggle.

“Kai, you do realize I’m the daughter of four Alpha’s, right?” She asks still giggling.

“Yeah?” I say, confusion seeping through.

“Baby that was not my first kill. His brother was my first kill, then a few rogues after that.” She said with a shake of her head, as if to shake off the memories. I freeze in my spot.

“You killed Tyler? I thought your parents did.” I say cautiously.

“Oh, they had planned too, but if I hadn’t then I would be marked right now by him and probably worse. That day he attempted to force his mark on me, I didn’t have any other choice but to fight back. Something he didn’t appreciate and when Belle realized he was not going to stop she made me forcefully shift ripping his throat out.” She says reliving that day.

“f**k, I’m so sorry you had to go through all that.” I say pulling her to my chest, rubbing soothing circles on her back.

“It’s okay, it had to happen. Kai, I know I’m always surrounded by people protecting me, but just to be clear I can protect myself. I chose not to fight, doesn’t mean I can’t. I could have easily killed Grace and Nora that day in the bathroom, and had they attacked me I would have defended myself. I don’t enjoy hurting people, doesn’t mean I can’t.” She whispers before looking up into my eyes, eyes flashing black indicating her wolf not appreciating us thinking her weak.

“I never for one second thought you were weak baby. I just hate thinking of you being in a position where you would need to be strong. Make sense?” I say carefully, by the smile on her face I know she is pleased by my words.

“I haven’t had to be strong in many situations while surrounded by a constant army. No need to worry babe.” She teases before kissing me softly on the lips. “As much as I’d love to stand out here with you all night, I need to shower this day off of me.” She says with a small laugh.

“Mmm, any chance you’d want company?” I say with a sly smirk, waggling my eyebrows.

“Nope.” She says popping the ‘p’ and sauntering off towards the house.

“Tease!” I shout back, running after her to her room. She makes it before me and closes herself inside the bathroom.

I hear her giggles, soon followed by the sound of the water turning on. At that my wolf starts flashing me images of our very naked mate. One where water droplets are running down her perfect curves. Another with soap lathered all over her body. My d**k instantly hardens in my pants.

‘Go in there. Make her ours. NOW.’ Mav basically pants in my mind.

‘No. If she wanted us to go in there with her, she wouldn’t have locked the door.’ I argue back.

‘Are you sure that doors locked? Check it!’ Mav growls back. Before I know it, my legs have a mind of their own and carry me right in front of the door.

Fuck, I can’t do this. I can’t just walk in there while she’s showing.

‘Why the f**k not? She’s ours!’ Mav roars back, pacing in my mind. Urging me to turn the handle. ‘If it’s unlocked, we go in. If it’s locked that’s our answer, she needs more time.’ He pleads.

I heave a sigh and push on the handle. I’m floored when I see it turns with no restraint. It’s unlocked. I push the door open and the steam from the shower mixed with the scent of Stella hits my nose, making me even harder.

“Took you long enough.” I hear the euphoric tone of my mate say softly. “Are you going to just stand there, or join me baby?” She says in a playful voice. I can hear the smile in her words.

Without questioning her further, I throw caution to the wind and strip faster than I’ve ever done in my life. Opening the steam covered glass door of the shower I am met with the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. My mate. Wet and naked turned away from me. Her plump and perfect ass on display. A husky growl leaved my lips. I step in the shower, wrapping my arms around her waist. Pulling her back against my front.

“Baby…” I say with a rumble in my chest.

“Hmm?” Is all she says, coming out as a little moan. “Kai, please. I need you. I want you. Now. Make me yours baby.” She says in the most seductive tone I have ever heard.

“Are you sure?” I say softly, trailing my lips from her shoulder to her neck all the way up to her ear leaving kissing on the way.

“If you won’t I will find someone who will.” She growls out, s****l frustration clear in her words.

“MINE.” Mav and I growl out together, causing her to purr in delight.

“Yes, yours. So, show me.” She says eagerly.

I spin her around to face me and capture her lips with mine. Earning a needy moan from my Goddess.

“We’re in a house full of your parents and brothers.” I say trying to restrain myself. She looks up at me with lust and love shining in her eyes.

“I don’t care. You’re my mate Kai. Show me and everyone else that I’m yours.” She says hooking her arms around my neck.

“f**k it.” I growl out before devouring her lips.
