CHAPTER FIVE

I went and made lunch and vowed to keep my mouth shut as much as possible along with my head on a swivel. Upon completion of enough sandwiches to feed the pack which is 150 strong I went to the dinning room to refill the drinks. “Eve come here” called Natasha. I walked over reminding myself of my promise to bite my tongue and not snap back.   “Eve it’s come to my attention that your behaviour has been quite appalling this morning”.   “I am sorry, I have been punished and am striving to see the errors of my way.” It made me want to vomit saying this but I knew that if I didn’t id be beaten or worse.   “I’m glad to hear it, but going by past experience the lesson never seems to stick.” As Natasha is talking my stomach betrays me with its grumble. “as further punishment, to ensure you learn how to respect my Husband, Myself and our children, all you may have for the remainder of the day is water.” She says gleefully. I use all my restraint to not bite back, knowing that there is no way for me to win this. “Yes Natasha.” I say instead, instantly realising my mistake. “Excuse me, but I am Luna of this pack and you will address me as such.” She snaps back. I couldn’t take it, she was not my Luna and I would never call her such. Foolishly I said so and was meet with a back hand that sent me flying into the wall hitting my injured back. “Get this mutt out of my sight and ensure she learns respect.” She screeched. “Lock her up! She can spend the rest of the day and the night in the cells.” Barked Derrick “oh please do at least I will be far enough away when one of you morons burns the place down while trying to cook dinner.” Snaps off my stupid mouth. I silently curse myself I really do need to invest in one of those brain to mouth filters. “it looks like the little b***h hasn’t learnt any respect, boys give her another 20 lashings and then throw her in the cell.” He demanded before walking over to one of the Omegas. “You.” “Yes Alpha?” the omega asked. “Order enough pizza for everyone for tonight and organise the cleaning crew to come clean up after this bitch.” He snapped. “Yes Alpha” she replied as I was being dragged off. Back in the barn I was once again cuffed to the post while Jason and Tyler offered to let me service them rather than being whipped. I laughed in their face and said that I would never willing let their tiny pricks anywhere near me. Again I really need to learn to filter my words. Their faces displayed their anger at my words and I began to pray that this beating would be the one to end my life but, as I have learnt I never get what I want.   I received my 20 lashes along with a few punches to the stomach, before being thrown in the cell, grateful that they forgot the salt bath in their anger. Noticing a jug of water in the corner of my cell I crawled over to it, I peeled off my ruined shirt and dressings, careful of my new and old wounds and used the front of my shirt to try and wash my wounds. Hours later there was a noise, I carefully stood up and held my shirt back against my chest when I saw the pack doctor Patrick. He is the only person here has ever been nice to me, never in front of others though because he would risk the same treatment.   “Eve, I heard what happened are you okay? how is your back?” he whispered. “Hi Doc, I’m okay a bit sore and wishing I had my supplies here but I’ll live.” I replied “here this should help” Doc passed a bag through the bars, and turned to leave. Alpha Derricks order was that none of the doctors were to provide me with medical treatment, thankfully Doc found the work around he would not provide treatment instead he would provide me with the supplies needed to tend to my own wounds, and for that I was eternally grateful. “Thank you’ I quietly called as he left. I slipped my shirt off again and got to work dressing my wounds, which is a lot harder than it sounds. Once I dug through the bag to see what else the doctor included. There was a fresh shirt, a couple of protein bars, and some trail mix, getting around the Luna’s no food for the rest of the day by intending for them to be breakfast. I put on the shirt and settled in knowing it would be a long night.
