ELARA ❥
The sound of the switch comes on, and I shut my eyes quickly. I feel a puffy soft hand over my head.
All these troubles in one night, I'm tired.
Gently lifting myself from the bed, she turns abruptly, and I break into a race.
“Stop, wait,” I can hear her fragile voice calling out.
Bursting out to the hallway, I take the left turn, racing straight and aiming for the stairs.
“Avoid the left…”
She calls out but I have never obeyed rules.
Right now, I really don't care what the old lady was saying. Getting back to my crib was better. I don’t care what goes on but there is no better place to die than my home.
The sudden appearance of a huge man brings my race to a halt. He stares at me for long, looking like he had never smiled all his life. I don't take my eyes away either.
I take his arm, which he stretches to me, but he pulls with force to himself, forcing me into the room.
I stop resisting as my eyes wanders. The room was elegant, having a very dark shade. Except one pulled the blinds, sun rays had no way of penetrating. I observe the images on the wall, the woman stained with bl*od holding up a child and kissing it. The center table had wine, and my gaze finally lands on who was on the couch. He doesn't respond. I look at him closer; he was younger.
“Let me go,” I struggle.
He sits upright, staring at me.
“Let us be for a while, Simon.” The huge man bows and turns to leave.
He walks to the window side, the curtain wasn’t even drawn. Weird guy.
“Thank you.” I massage my arm.
He doesn’t respond.
“ let’s have dinner,” he walks past me. I stand there unsure of what to do. He walks past me, the spicy and sweet scent of his cologne brushes my nose, I turned to the door and he gestures to me, holding the door open.
I walk briskly towards and out the door, “thank you,” I mutter to him which he doesn't respond too.
Okay hot and rude. Wow.
My gait becomes wobbly, fully aware he is strolling behind me. I sight Bellie and runs off to meet her, while I silently prayed I didn’t trip on myself.
The dinner went on, so cold. He ate like no one was there.

“I can walk on my own, you really don't have to,”
“Well, Master wants me to take care of you, until you get home safe, we are all in danger,” she laughs lightly. I didn't find it funny. I walk slowly at her pace, the black car is already packed facing the gate and waiting for us.
“Is he always like that? Young master?” I said turning to Bellie who was following closely.
“Is he always cold?”
She sighs. “He wasn't always this way, there is just a lot going on,” her eyes speaking pity.
“Come, quickly before he loses it. He has quite a temper,” she drags me by the hand.
I step into the car realizing I was actually going back.
I love the dance academy but, in all honesty? There wasn't really a life for me.
MACOY ❥
Standing before the mirror, I adjusted my shirt and tie. There was slight tap and the door pulled open.
“How do I look, Melman?” I ask spreading out my arms.
“Stunning, Mr Macoy,” he said talking slow to cover his italian accent.
“Has the young woman left?” I ask, admiring my fit. “Oh yes. But sir,” he said following me around the room. “What if there was another motive behind her appearance?”
“I've thought about that too, Mel,” I wear my perfume, closing my eyes as I savor its rich fragrance. “I have eyes on her,” I continue.
“She's 24, harmless, figuring out her life. What could a dancer possibly do to me,” I chuckle.
She is pretty interesting, running away from a stalker but too dumb to drink anything. ‘She must be quick to trust.’
“What's most important is to pay my father a visit. They must have missed me,” my smile turns to a light frown and as I walk out the room.

Not much change had happened at the Valente’s mansion. I ascend the stairs graciously yet with caution, as though every step had the potential of blowing up.
Four years ago, I almost did not survive, right here in my father's abode. Memories gush in: gasping for air in the bathtub while the hands of the masked man wrapped around my neck, strangling me right inside my bathtub. If not for the doorbell, I would have bid earth goodbye.
I shake my head, I wasn't going to think too much of the past, there is enough resentment already; thinking would make me rim my fist into my elder brother’s face; or maybe my stepbrother? The entire family if I could.
“Master Macoy?” I felt the instant weakness, a voice I could never forget.
