I lay in the hopital bed looking at Jackie, "What?" I ask, my father really got Mark arrested for assaulting me? I can't believe this.
"That's what he told the cops." Jackie says with disappointment.
"I want to speak to the cops and I want to tell them the truth, I can't believe that my dad would stoop so low to get rid of someone and my baby." I say with anger but there are tears welling up in my eyes too.
"Reggie is on his way here. I think that its best that you speak to him first and then to the cops." she says as she takes my hand in hers. "I will do what I can to help."
I nod "Thank you." I say softly.
"Let me get you some water." she says as she gets up from the chair. She goes over to where a jug with water is standing on a cabinet with a glass.
