Chapter 4: The next day

Zander

I walk to Jennylyn's house in the morning to pick her up.I knock on the door.Wilma answers the door.

"Hi.I came to walk Jennylyn to school."

"Ok I call her down for you." Wilma says smiling.She yells upstairs " Jennylyn, Zander is here to walk you to school."

"I'll be down in a minute." she yells.

She gets ready and come down.

"You look pretty." I say surprised

" Thank you." She says happily. We began to walk to school.

" Are you afraid?" She asks.

"Afraid of what?" I ask confused.

" Of how people will treat you after they see you with me."

"No I am not scared. I don't care what they think about me." I say.

"Ok. If you say so." she stutter nervously.

We arrive at the school.I grab her hand showing her I don't care if people judge me.We walk in.

"They are staring at us." she says frightened.

"Don't look at them.Let's just get to class." I say encouragingly.

"Oo-kk." She stutters.

We get to the class, hesitating at the door.

"You ready to face this?" I ask.

"Yes. I think so." She answers.

We walk into to Mr.Dodge's clas.Everyone looked up staring at us.I could see Mr.Dodge looking at me with rage and absolute hatred.I just looked at him and smirked.

"Jennyln go seat down.I will be back in a bit."

"Why?" She asks.

" Just trust me.Ok?" I answer.

"Ok." She says as she heads to her desk.

I walk over to him."you will leave her alone from now on." I say.

"Why should I brat? Your just saying this because you want to get in the slut's pants." He accuses.

"No that not my reason at all.I will hurt you if you ever think about touching her again.Got it?"

He nods. He thinks if you think i'm gonna give up that easily you have another thing coming.

I sit down behind her.

Jennyln:"what did you say to him?" she whispers.

I whisper back "I said I would hurt him if he ever touched you again."

Jennyln "I never asked you to do that."

I say:" I wanted to help you out." I blush.

Jennyln:" Thank you."

Mr.Dodge:"Enough talking time for class now."

Jennylyn and I say: "Ok sir."

He starts teaching.We pass notes under the table. My note say: you sure your ok that we are officially dating. Hers says: Of course silly.I'm glad we can tell people.

Someone taps her on the shoulder. She look over at them.

Jennyln says "Helen I thought you had moved to france."

Helen says"I did but I moved back this year.My dad changed jobs again. Who is he?"

Jennyln says "That's my boyfriend Zander. Zander this is Helen.She use to be my only friend here before she moved."

I say:"It's nice to meet you Helen."

Helen exclaims " I told you you would find someone Jen."

Jennyln says grumpily " I thought I told you to stop calling me that."
