Quarrel with Ruby

Anna was very busy at work because of Neon fashion show and she wanted her work to be perfect since aunty D had a lot of hope in her. Also she had received a very bad news from her brother, Rachel her sister was coming to visit. Why now?
"Anna, did you take the remaining blue thread?" Ruby asks.
"Yes, what happened?"
"I was going to use it," Ruby replies.
"Madam will soon be here with new ones. You know everyone has been busy and threads do not last these days, she will buy some on the way," Anna said.
"But I want to use that."
"As you can see I'm using it," Anna replied.
"Hey relax, madam will soon come," Antonia said.
"So I should wait?" Ruby asks.
"Yeah," Antonia replied.
Anna did not reply but continue with her work when Ruby pushed her purposely.
"Ruby, what is it? Do you want to injure me?" Anna asks surprised.
"Ladies, that's enough please," Jide said.
"Anna knew I wanted to use that thread, she took it on purpose," Ruby said.
"You sound as if you own the thread Ruby," Antonia said.
"Mind your business, I wasn't talking to you," Ruby snapped.
Martins said, "Anna, just give Ruby the thread."
"I'm using it," Anna replied.
"You see, ever since Anna started working here, all she does is disrespect me," Ruby said. "I'm sure she overheard me telling Martins I wanted to use the thread and she took it."
"Please, stop acting childish. That thread was in the store room and anyone who needed it could have taken it," said Antonia.
"Oh! You have joined them," Martins said to Antonia. "Snitch."
"You guys are only jealous of Anna because despite she is new she is doing well," Antonia said.
"Jealous of what?" Ruby asks.
"It's enough, now get back to work everyone," Jide snapped. He was the second in command after Debby. "And Ruby mind yourself in this place." Ruby hisses and goes back to her work station while Anna continued her work.
Debby later came with supplies for work.
"I'm going to buy lunch," said Anna.
"Can you help me buy ice cream?" Imade asks.
"You and ice cream," teased Jide. "Which boy is spoiling you like this? Anna you will help me buy jollof rice."
Anna collects money from them and goes to their regular fast food restaurant, while she was placing her order, she saw Charles coming in. "Does this guy have a job?"
"Look who is here? Anna, how are you?" Charles asks when he sees her.
"I'm fine. Do you have a job?"
"Why would I not have a job? Can't I come to have lunch?" He asks laughing.
"Okay o."
"Are you here to have lunch?" He asks.
"No, I getting take away. My friends are waiting for me," she replies.
"Alright, so can I have your number? So we can talk later?"
She eyes him suspiciously before they exchanged numbers. He paid for all her orders again and bid her farewell as she left.
"How come you are returning our money along with our orders?" Jide asks.
"Someone paid for it," Anna replied.
"Who? Is it a guy?" Imade asks.
"Of course. Who else will pick a lady's bill?" Jide asks.
"Who is he?" Imade asks excited.
"You don't know him. Eat your food and mind your business," Anna replied.
"Hmm, I'm suspecting you Anna," said Jide.
"Anna has an admirer," sings Imade.
