The following day, Debby held a staff meeting.

"I have picked the designs for the fashion show and apart from mine, I have chosen two of Anna's design, one each from that of Jide, Imade and Antonia," she said. Anna was shocked to hear aunty D picked her design.

"As from Monday," Debby continued. "We are going to be very busy especially those whose designs were chosen. You are going to work hard and others will assist you. You are going to prove that you are very creative and not just when it's comes to creating sketches."

"Okay ma," they replied.

"Anna see me in my office."

"Okay ma," she replied following her to her office.

"Anna, I know you are probably excited that I picked two of your designs and I must commend you," Debby said. "But now the real task begins. I know you are new but you are going to make those clothes yourself and all I will do is supervise."

"Okay ma," Anna replied.

"I hope you won't disappoint me because I see you to be someone with talent, so do not disappoint me."

"I won't disappoint you ma," Anna replied.

"You can go," Debby said.

On her way home, Anna decides to buy ice cream for Rose from a fast-food restaurant, while she was waiting for her order, she heard,

"Hmm, here goes my admirer." When she turned, she saw Charles standing behind her.

"Good evening sir," she replied.

"Hmm, my admirer can talk," he said.

"I'm not your admirer," she replied frowning.

"Oh really? Because I can remember you ogling me."

"I did not," she replied stamping her feet.

"You are cute," he replied laughing. "I'm Charles."

"I'm Anna," she replied still frowning. Anna received her order and was about to pay but Charles was quicker and he paid for both their orders.

"Thank you," Anna said.

"You are welcome Anna. Which way are you going?" He asks.

"Edmund crescent," she replied.

"Well, I'm heading towards Ajay Estate," he said. "Let me drop you off." On the way he asks, "how long have you been working for Debby?"

"Almost two weeks now," she replied.

"How has it been so far?"

"Nice, I enjoy my work. Are you related to aunty D?"

"Yes, I'm her in law. Why are you asking? Do you want to investigate me?"

"No, I'm just asking," she replied.

"So, why did you chose to be a fashion designer?"

"I love pretty clothes."

"Just that?" He asks surprised.

"Yeah but I also like to create my own pretty clothes."

"Cool."

"So what do you do?" She asks.

"Do you want to know so you can add it to the reason why you have a crush on me?"

"I do not have a crush on you," she replied gritting her teeth and he starts to laugh. Charles dropped her off at the junction of Edmund crescent before going his own way.

"i***t," Anna muttered as she walked home. "Just because you are cute doesn't mean I have a crush on you."
