The torrential downpour came bucketing down, heavily drumming an unending pitter-patter rhythm as each droplets touched the ground.

Laying on the floor was a seventeen year old Linton and he seemed to have cut himself in a heck of trouble as Four boys surrounded him with sticks, ready to smack him at any moment.

Just then, the leader of those boys came towards him as he bent down to Linton height.

He grabbed Linton's jaw and he groaned in pain, "I'll teach you a lesson here Timothy and next time you will learn to keep yourself far away from my girlfriend."

He said as he instructed him boys to hit Linton Harder and they did has instructed.

But just then, the loud and beautiful voice of a girl was heard, "Stop it!"

A tall and slender girl said who was complete drenched by the rain although she looked so stunning in her school uniform.

Shocked to see Sophie, Tharren said, "Sophie baby, what are you doing here?"

Hearing that, Sophie felt disgusted as she said, "Don't you call me your baby because I'm not and who gives you the right to bully Linton. He didn't do anything bad to you."

Sophie shouted and hearing that, Tharren said, "No, no baby! He did do something wring. How dare him try to come close to you, my girlfriend. It seems like he had forgotten his place in this world."

"He is nothing but just a poor boy with a pretty face and he dared to try to seduce you....I won't let him get away with it." Tharren said crazily as he then took the stick from his boys hand and then started to hit Linton with it.

Seeing that, Sophie said, "I said stop it! Stop hurting him...he didn't try to seduce me, my books fell and he picked it up for me and returned it and all I did was thank him, you are getting us wrong."

"And anyway, why am I even explaining myself to you, just because we went on a date twice that doesn't make us a couple. I haven't even accepted you yet and here you are treating people badly....I don't want to see your face again, no woman would want to be with a man like yourself." Sophie voiced out and hearing that, Tharren cracked.

He walked angrily towards her as he grabbed hold of her hair, "How dare you? Just because you are pretty and come from a rich family, you think you have the right to ditch me like that....do you know who my father is.... I'll teach you a lesson."

Tharren said as he brought his hand to slap Sophie across the face and seeing that, Linton fired up as he used all the remaining strength and energy he had to stand up and give Tharren a big blow on his face.

Upon receiving the unexpected hit, Tharren stumbled back has he then shouted, "You Pauper! How dare you hit me? Boys get him."

He said and seeing that, Sophie quickly took hold of Linton hand has they took a run for it.

Running absolutely nowhere was a little fun, as the droplets of rain hit the ground with the sound of their footstep, it felt like he was in a romantic movie.

Being held by the most beautiful woman with the most beautiful Long and silk purple hair which eyes were as blue as the sky, Linton couldn't help hut wish that this moment never ended.

But unfortunately for him, Sophie quickly ran towards where her driver parked the car and pushed him in before they drove off.

Seeing has the boys had lost them, Sophie could now relax as she said to her driver, "Take us back to the Villa." she instructed and the driver did just that.

Still shocked and being a little lost for words, Linton just stared at Sophie beautiful and wet face. Even with her makeup washed off, she still looked has beautiful has ever.

Finally catching her breath, Sophie said, "Are you alright, I'm sure you are hurt... don't worry, I'll get your wounds Mended."

She said with worried eyes. It was her fault that he was injured like this. If she hadn't accepted the blind date her father had set up for her then she won't have met an animal like man like 'Tharren'

How someone else was hurt because of her, "I'm sorry, I don't know what had gotten into Tharren to do such a thing, I hope you aren't annoyed."

She said and hearing that, Linton said, " No! I'm not annoyed, I'm just happy that we escaped and you didn't get hurt."

Hearing that, Sophie laughed and then said, "If he had laid his hands on me then forget what I would do to him, my father alone would make him and his father ever regret coming close to me."

"By the way, I'm Sophie! it's nice to meet you.... Linton, right?" She said as she extended her hand for an handshake.

Accepting the handshake, Linton said with a smile, "Yes Linton and it's nice to meet you two."

That was it, that was how he had met Sophie...the love of his life.

They became good friends and did almost everything with one another. He stayed at hee house and they would have tea party's and sleepovers.

He was like the best friend abs brother she never had. Because of how close they were, students in the school started coming up with rumors like, "I think Linton is her boy toy."

"I think they are secretly Dating."

"I think his her little pet or bodyguard."

They all said but Linton and Sophie were more sensible enough to not mind those stupid rumors.

But Linton didn't blame them for coming up with reasons that surrounds why he had a close relationship with Sophie.

Sophie's family were rich and one of the most prestigious family in the City. Her father was a very rich Judge in the city and her mother, the owner of a famous TV show.

So if you wanna put it, she was born in the most respected and honest training and having an over protective father would limit her care free time especially with Linton.

But for Linton, he was raised by his single mother who just owned a small restaurant in their area.

He had two sisters and a younger brother so life wasn't really that easy for him but after he

became friends with Sophie, she tried to help his mom with some financial issues and although he refused, his mom accepted.

Life was good and as time passed, he came to realize his feelings for Sophie.

Although he wanted to tell her, he always backed away at the last minute and it carried on for years and years.

From highschool to University and even when she was about to leave for abroad, he didn't tell her.

Well he lost his chances has the next news she brought was her fiancee Tedo. But all is fine, he knew from the beginning that he was out of her league.

She was Rich, beautiful and talented. she didn't deserve to be with someone like him who was still finding it hard to get a job for himself.

In the end, she ended up with someone who as rich and handsome. He would be able to take care if her and do the things that he wished he could but couldn't.

All he wished was that he could move on and forget about her because he had a feeling that better days laid ahead of him.
