Cory walked up behind Taylor and slipped his arms around her. Never again did he want to be without her. In fact, he needed to take her back to the bed and finish what they'd started a little bit ago. Yet, the second he pulled her up against him, he knew something was wrong. She stood too stiff. Too cold. In the vanity mirror, her reflection caught his attention. A pale face with wide, frightened eyes met his stare. He turned her around, keeping her in his arms. Her bottom lip trembled as she clutched the cell to her ear. "Wh...what have you done with Meggie?" His heart sank to the pit of his stomach, and bile rose to his throat. Please God, no! "Pl—please tell me," she pleaded in a soft voice as tears gathered in her eyes. "Who is it?" he mouthed. She shook her head and shrugged.
