The man, of course, didn't say a word. She straightened up and went to the table by the bed. She opened the drawer; the keys to the apartment door were inside. She took the keys, grabbed the bag and the gun from the bed, slung the bag over her arm, and headed outside. She left the room, closed the door, and left the man bleeding onto the carpet. She stood behind the apartment door, holding the gun, her back against the wall. The sound of the doorbell when Victor pressed the button made her tremble. She leaned over and looked through the keyhole. It was Victor. She straightened up, raised the gun, and held her breath. She looked around, hesitantly reaching for the doorknob. He stopped, and her hand slowly withdrew. She glanced at the door of one of the closed rooms, walked towards it quietly, and opened it gently. She went to the apartment door, carefully reaching for the handle. She turned it slowly, and the lock opened silently. Victor pressed the doorbell at the same moment. Lena stepped back quietly until she entered the room whose door she had opened seconds before. She pulled the door shut and stood behind it. Outside, Victor said, "He doesn't want to open the door." He pounded on it angrily. The lock was unlocked, so the door opened. Victor was surprised, his eyes flashing with apprehension. He raised his gun and entered the apartment with slow, cautious steps. He stopped in the hallway, looked left and right, then headed towards the bedroom, where the man lay dead. He approached the room cautiously. Lena stood behind the other door, catching her breath, her fear and apprehension palpable. Victor reached for the bedroom door, opened it carefully, still holding his gun. He entered with a sudden, swift movement, but found only the man dead on the floor and the laptop silently playing a video of the gang's crimes. Victor approached the computer and said, "Oh God, this is what we're looking for. But where's Lena?" Outside the room, Lena reached for the doorknob, opened it slightly, and looked outside. She saw Victor's feet as he bent down, looking at his tablet screen. She flung the door open and rushed out of the apartment, slamming the door shut behind her. Victor rushed out of the room, jumped to the ground, and fired a shot at Lena, but she had already left and closed the door. The bullet hit the middle of the door, leaving a hole. Victor quickly got up and reached for the doorknob to open it, but Lena was standing behind the door, locking it with her key, leaning against the wall for cover. Victor stepped back and said, "Damn it!" He fired shots at the door one after another slowly, trying to guess Lena's location behind it with a deadly sense of danger, until the door was riddled with holes. But none of the bullets hit Lena; she was protected by the wall. Lena said with a smile, "Goodbye, Victor. You were nice to me one night, remember?" Victor said, "Damn you, you b***h!" Lena smiled sweetly and went to the elevator door. She pressed the button and stood waiting for the elevator. Victor stood behind the door, kicking it hard with his shoulder, trying to break it down. Outside The elevator doors opened. Lena stepped inside and closed the door. She lifted her foot and slipped the pistol under her inner jacket. She took the copied hard drive from her bag and held it in her hand. The elevator stopped on the ground floor. Lena stepped out, walking confidently towards the large building's entrance. Leon, who was standing by the car, spotted Lena exiting the building and rushed towards her, raising his gun. "Stop, Lena! Stop! I'm going to shoot!" Lena stopped on the sidewalk. Leon approached her. "What you're looking for is here," Lena said. "It's on this hard drive." Lena held out her hand to Leon, who took the hard drive from her. "Okay, come with me," he said. "And what if I come with you?" Lena asked. "Lucian won't let me live after I learn all his secrets. Do you want me to die, Leon?" "No," Leon said. "You know I love you, but I have to..." "You have to what?" Lena asked. "He wants me to die, doesn't he?" You have the disk Lucien asked for. I'm leaving now. If you want to kill me, a bullet from your gun in my heart is better than having me handed alive to Lucien. Lena stepped confidently and steadily onto the sidewalk. Leon stood behind him, raised his gun, and aimed it at her. Then he slowly lowered it without firing, saying, "f**k you, Lucien." Leon Vesper – “The Night Handler” Age 29. Out of the building, Victor came running from behind Leon, his gun raised in one hand and the laptop held high in the other. He bumped into Leon. Leon said, “She escaped. I couldn't catch her, but I got this.” He held up the hard drive. He showed it to Victor. Victor and Leon headed to the car. Leon got behind the wheel with Victor beside him. Victor turned around and placed his laptop on the back seat, and the car drove off.
