Chapter 4

Jerry’s POV

Today, I get to go visit my family. The mission my dad had me off since I was 19 years old has been accomplished. He will be so shocked and happy at the same time.

Yes, he will be shocked because I have planned to surprise them on my arrival. I wonder about the look that will be on their faces when they see me. Dad will be so pissed that I did not tell him, but this is one of the ways I have planned to make my return memorable for everyone.

The human world is now willing to collaborate with us, which means that our pack is going to be fortified beyond measure. We will be impenetrable. This has been Dad’s dream, and he will be happy to see that I have accomplished it for him.

I got to the palace,e and everywhere was silent, which appeared so strange to me. I made my way to the parlour, making sure that no one saw me entering. But all that tactic was useless, seeing that no one was around either.

My excitement rose high when I opened the door to see that everyone was gathered in the sitting room. Some of them were crying their heart out and I wondered what was happening.

Without wasting time, I called on my mom to signal her of my presence. As soon as I mentioned “mom,” everyone turned to look at me,e and it all went silent for a moment.

“Your dad is gone, Jerr,y,” Mom said to me, and I froze at my own spot.

What does she mean that Dad is gone? No, it can't be true. We had plans. She can't be telling the truth, is she? I remained quiet for some time until I threw the question that was on my mind to no one in particular.

“How did it happen?” I asked,d and everyone looked like they didn't know what to say or else they were hiding something from me. They don't want me to know, maybe. But I will surely find out no matter how they hide it.

“He died because of Sasha” Just when my blood was starting to boil,l and I wanted to unleash fury on everyone in the room; someone spat out to me.

“And, who is Sasha?” I asked with anger and furiously as it took them too long to answer.

“I am Sasha”, a naive-looking girl answered, and I noticed her, remembering that I saw almost everyone gathered where she was. I could also remember that was the same place mom came from to answer me.

Who could this girl be and what would make my dad die because of her? Before my thoughts progressed further, Mom gestured for me to come with me,r and we left the room where everyone was.

We got to the room, and Mom told me all the ways that Dad had maltreated her because of the strange girl who caused his death, too. I felt irritated by her, and my anger was boiling until Mom went ahead to tell me the most shocking part.

“I think your dad was charmed by that evil girl,”, Mom said, and I sat back, taking the information as they came in an avalanche.

So was my day of returning to the pack. If I had returned on time maybe my dad would have still been alive. I wasted too much time planning to give the best surprise package.

Now, all I need is just air from everyone. I left my mom and went to my room to lie on my bed. I zoned out as soon as I finished bathing. I wasn’t ready for food any more.

I woke up the next morning to hear some noises down the hallway. It was supposed to be time for breakfast, but I was waking up in chaos. Why should the day start like this?

I rushed down to where the scene was taking place to find two women on each other's necks. Surprisingly, one of them looked like my mother, and I didn't waste any time before I went ahead to separate them and find out what was happening.

I separated the two women, and I sensed tingles when I touched either of them during the separation process. This could mean one thing, and at the same time, I was perceiving the scent that would take your breath away. This further confirms my suspicion.

Could my mate be fighting with my mom? And who do I have here? Was she not the same person who got my dad to hate my mom and got him killed too? How could she be my mate? Would the moon goddess be this cruel to make me suffer a fate like this?

The sob from my mom got me out of my trance and I started to think clearly. I just figured out that the same lady who had been causing the chaos in my family was also fighting my mom. Coupled with that, the moon goddess has punished me with her? I can't be in this b*****e.

Mom had already told me her name, that she was Sasha or some kind of that s**t.

“I Jerry, reject you, Sasha as my mate”. Both she and my mom looked at me with shocked expressions on their faces. What they didn't know was that I wasn't finished yet.

“And I banished you from this pack,” I said my final words to her and took my mom to go take care of her. She is the only one I have left, and I can't sit back and watch this evil witch of a lady wreck her apart and probably get me killed the way she got my dad killed, too.
