IRIS POV - CHAPTER 30
What is the definition of helpless? Is it knowing that there is something you can do, but refusing to do it? Or, is it where you know that there is something you can do, but you're frozen on the spot? Every bone in your body is telling you to go and just relieve that pain the other part of your soul is feeling. But, yet, all you can do is sit there. You can't move. You can't utter a word. Your brain has just stopped functioning, and it just doesn't want to co-operate with your body.
My definition of helpless is, when I know there is something I could have done differently, but yet, everything is telling me that I can't. It is not up to me. Even though, the pain that they feel, is exactly the same thing you're feeling. But much worse. Because you know it's there, yo
