Bilange, The Rhylands

He felt nauseated after walking through, as did the others. He took a few steps further and rested himself by perching himself against his knees. He then coughed and tried not to vomit but the sound of others vomiting did not further aid him. “Attention, please.” The woman loudly said. “What you are feeling right now is normal for first-time travellers, please take your time to recuperate here, water us available right over here and don’t worry about the mess. When you are ready, you can leave through the door. Once again, I wish to welcome you all to the Rhylands!” The twin doors then began opening and the people then began to leave the building with some who were still trying to recover being aided by their loved ones. Niles was among the few who travelled alone and could not help but feel lonely. He pushed the though away eventually and raised himself. He walked towards the opened twin doors and walked out. He gasped. Clear blue skies greeted him, the same that had been in the Newlands but instead of towering buildings, what he saw was the colossal statue of a woman draped in heavy clothes. Calliath had her right hand raised in an open palm upwards towards the heavens while the left faced the ground below. Niles walked closer towards the statue, being mindful not to walk too far or else he would fall off the cliff. The statue had not changed since he last saw it as a child, it was constructed around 233 AL by the founder of Bilange, Xedrai Olse as a sign of gratitude for allowing his people to reach a habitable position to begin a new village which eventually grew into a city. He was at the peak of Yera Mountain, and he knew he needed to find a carriage to transport him to Tynsron where his training would be initiated. He had waited years for this moment, this moment where he could finally begin to dig for the meaning of Maia’s death, and to protect the country from the sorcerers. Are you proud of me, Maia? As he waited for her answer, he took a breath and held it. It was a new beginning and he wanted the air of his homeland to permeate his blood.
