"Custody case," announces the judge. "Lacey Roland versus Alex Ryder," he continues.      My heart races as I stare at the judge who appears emotionless. He stares blankly between Alex and I. He seems like he has already come to a decision. As if he can already tell who deserves custody.       I look over at Alex who stared at me in hope. My heart pounded loudly.
