"I, Damion Creek Alejandro, Alpha of the Golden Paw Pack, hereby pronounce Karen Adams Van Brunt of the Blood Moon Pack guilty of the crime. Henceforth, She shall be confined to the Dungeons of Hell without sustenance or reprieve until she confesses.
Anyone defying my orders shall face the same severe repercussions as the accused, for I AM THE LAW," Damion delivered his verdict with a resonant growl, his voice reverberating like thunder, deep as the grave, and heavy as lead.
The weight of the Alpha's judgment hung heavily in the air, prompting every shifter, including Alpha Adams, to bow their heads submissively. Even if the latter harbored a willingness to intercede for his daughter, the oppressive atmosphere stifled any words that might have found their way to his lips.
Throughout the interrogation, his heart pulsated rapidly, an uncertain cadence of guilt or fear, leaving him a silent witness to his daughter's condemnation.
"Lock her up!" Damion commanded without mercy, turning away from the condemned as a horde of shifters surged from both flanks to apprehend her.
"No, no, you can't do this to me!" Karen protested vehemently, her forehead furrowed with thick lines, eyes transforming into the deepest shade of green.
As Alpha Damion departed, a sudden rift behind him forced him to halt in his tracks. The noise, reminiscent of a violent wind, demanded his attention.
Driven by curiosity, he pivoted to witness an overwhelming spectacle. The accused was fighting back! A tumult spread among the shifters as the earth quivered, a dusty wind swirling around Karen. The howling winds carried dust and debris, prompting everyone, save the resolute Lycan warriors, to seek refuge.
In a glare of spite and disdain, Karen's radiant green eyes locked onto the man meant to be her mate.
"Damion!" she yelled defiantly, her body ascending into the air. "I refuse to be your prisoner, not without a fight!"
Her hands gestured towards the encroaching warriors, a forceful breeze sweeping them off their feet.
Alpha Damion smirked with intrigue.
Undeterred by the disaster unfolding, he stood firm in his belief that he had everything under control, impervious to the supernatural forces that sought to challenge his dominion. Casting a glance behind, he observed his beta maneuvering through the hovering winds, a mix of panic and displeasure evident on the brunet's sodden face.
"Alpha, we must act quickly. Allowing this werewitch to cause more chaos is so not entertaining, is it?" Richardson uttered hurriedly, baring his fear.
However, his Alpha was swift to reprimand him.
"You fret over trivialities, at times making me question your suitability as the next alpha when I'm no more. Regardless, instruct them to assume positions and unleash when I command," Damion asserted, a comfortable assurance in his tone.
Richard frowned at the Alpha's censure, his thoughts echoing, 'Until he commands them? Come on, Damion, this is critical!"
"Alright, Alpha," he acquiesced, however, bowing and hastening away.
Observing Karen, now transformed into her feral beast, and viciously attacking the gamma warriors of his pack, Alpha Damion approached boldly.
"Hey!" He shouted audaciously to capture her attention. The giant white she-wolf snarled menacingly, leaving irregular claw marks on the ground.
"Traitors will always commit treason. You believe you're prepared for a formidable fight, but you're mistaken. You don't even stand a chance!"
As Alpha Damion finished his declaration, he signaled Richardson, who bellowed a war cry. "Now!"
A sizable brown net descended from the sky, ensnaring the unaware werewolf. In an attempt to break free, Aria, Karen's wolf, violently bit into the strong weave, tearing the net apart. Her determination to fight for freedom is matched by Damion's readiness to subdue her.
"She's breaking the bonds. Release fire!" Richardson ordered a group of gamma warriors who had lined up on the top of castle walls.
Responding to the urgent command, the archers adeptly drew arrows tipped with a highly lethal wolfsbane, LunarMyst Elixir. With precision, they aimed at Aria, ensnared and struggling beneath the torn net. The arrows, edges burnished with the deadly poison, were released in a synchronized flurry. The midday sky momentarily transformed into a cascade of black lines as the arrows sliced through the air, finding their mark on the relentless wolf.
Amidst the chaos, Alpha Damion's expression remained stoic, eyes watching with an unfazed expression, while awaiting the outcome. Richardson, too, watched anxiously as a few arrows embedded in Karen's white wolf fur, who continued to growl defiantly.
As her heart rate rapidly decreased, Karen shifted back to her human form, convulsing. Gradually, the net ceased shaking, creating the illusion that wolfsbane had temporarily paralyzed her bones. Yet, she attempted to crawl out, still harboring the arrows on her back stunning her captors.
Alpha Damion, however, approached with measured steps, smiling mischievously.
"You see, Karen, defiance only leads to more suffering. Surrender, and your torment will end," he adjourned, his voice tinged with mockery and disdain.
Karen bore holes into Damion's eyes with an unyielding yet weak gaze. Though she longed to speak, the words eluded her as she gradually succumbed to the poison, which was starting to render her body numb.
"Take her to the Dungeons," Damion ordered, watching her closely with intent eyes.
In obedience to the alpha's command, four men marched towards her, dragging her motionless body away from the pack members. As she vanished from sight, her vision blurred, and after a struggle to remain conscious, her eyelids went shut—the last sight being a fuzzy Damion, wearing a satisfied, cruel smirk.
