My eyes felt heavy as they opened, my head ached, my neck was throbbing. And then I remembered what had happened. How was I alive? I was dying. Bringing my hand to my throat, I felt a thick bandage wrapped around my neck. I was sweating as I forced myself to sit up, glancing around the room. Where the hell was I? I didn’t recognize anything, and I worried as to who had brought me to this small bedroom.
