I cannot believe what I had done. I watched Karen lay in my arms with my mark on her neck. I had come to let her go but ended up claiming her instead.
I knew I wouldn't be able to let go. Even though she said hurtful things to me, I knew it was because she was hurting. I wanted her to tell me the truth about how she felt because she always denied it. I wanted to make sure I wasn't imagining things and that I wasn't in love alone.
When I ended the contract verbally, she had gone into the toilet to cry. I wanted her to tell me what she wanted, instead, she began to pack and asked me to take her to the shelter.
Karen tried to hide her feelings for me. I wanted to make love to her. I wanted to be with her and I wanted to make it official but I needed her to tell me what she wanted.
