Eve’s POV A deep and sharp pain tore through me the minute I opened my eyes. It felt like my bones were being put back together by some fire. Then a cold biting that stayed glued on my skin like I was still in the river. I tried to speak but my lungs did not stop burning, I coughed, water spilling from my mouth, then I felt a warm hand press on my shoulders “Easy, you’re okay.” A familiar voice muttered to me. “You’re safe now, little wolf.” My eyelids slowly swung open to the dim firelight.I laid on something fur-like, probably inside of something meant to be a hut. The scent of herbs filled the air.
