I felt the need to defend him but it made no sense because deep now, I knew she was right.
“Still” I said to her. “ I need to go back, it would be selfish of me to just disappear.”
“Heal first then.” Morwenna said while studying me. “When the time comes we’ll decide on your next move together.”
I nodded slowly, finally letting the adrenaline that kept my body upright since I saw her drain from my body, leaving me with only a wave of sleep
