Dorian’s POV I froze as a familiar scent hit me. The half burnt Blackthorn still stayed spread across the table before me. The last few weeks had been nothing short of chaotic with strange howls in the forest, a few missing scouts here and there. But whatever was happening now? It was worse “Eve’s here, Alpha.” Came the trembling voice of one of my guards, blood stains on his sleeves. “ We saw her by the main quarters with Malik.” The earth tilted beneath my feet, my claws had already broken through my skin before I realized I had shifted halfway, a low growl tearing from my throat. The firelight bent with my rage but even I wasn’t sure what this rage was about. “Eve?” I repeated. “Are you sure about this?” The guard nodded hastily. “As sure as the moon, Alpha.” “You may leave.
