Eve’s POV The interpretation to her proverb came by dawn. One of the guards found it placed by the path to the outer gate, a big black gift box, decorated with a black ribbon tied into a bow. “To Eve.” I read the tag carrying a wolf’s fang and a crescent moon I opened the box to find a single note; “If you ever want to see your son again, leave Blackthorn before the rise of the moon. Cross the border, do not return, do not look back and most importantly, do not try to find me or send anyone after me, I’ll reach out to you about the whereabouts of your son when I’m satisfied. Also, if I sense your scent anywhere around the woods for any reason, the boy dies. If I were you? I would choose wisely.
