The day of my hearing finally arrived, I hoped for the best despite being certain of the worst
Nothing had ever gone in my favor in this world so I didn't expect this to be different.
The doors to my cell opened as two guards entered. “It is time.”
I followed them quietly.
The doors to the court opened, disrupting the odd silence in the room. Every head towards me as I was presented before the elders.
Astrid sat elegantly beside Dorian, her head held up high, I would have sworn I saw a smirk on her face.
“Eve of Crescent quarters.” Elder Ryan called out to me. “You have been accused of not just endangering a pack member but also trying to resist captivity and worst of all disobeying the orders of your Alpha. What do you have to say?”
