Chapter 31: Nightmare (4) 

Liberaine and the child named 'Rene' looked at each other and was shocked. Liberaine looked at herself and found that she was still in an invisible state. She calms herself first. She didn't answer her question and only observed the little girl.  

"Who are you?" The little girl tried to sit up but she is too weak to do that.  

"Rene, my baby, what's wrong?" The man walked forward and slid the curtain. He looked at her daughter lying on the bed. He saw that she is trying to sit up. He softly said, "Rene, my lovely daughter, is something wrong?" 

"Da..ddy," Rene pointed her index finger towards Liberaine, "Who is she?"  

The man worriedly looked at her daughter after he followed where she was pointing, but he only saw a little cabinet and a mini wooden dressing table. He sat beside her and touched her forehead. "I didn't do anything to your maid-servants, just rest Rene." 

"Daddy don't change the topic who is-'' The girl's eyes widened when she saw Liberaine move her body next to her father.

"Don't." Liberaine says while signaling Rene by waving her hand. 

Rene picked up a pillow and threw it to Liberaine but the pillow didn't hit Liberaine, instead it went through.

Rene's jaw dropped. She blinked her eyes again and again. She did not want to believe what she just saw. She carefully looked at the mysterious girl again from head to toe and gasped. 

"Waaahhhh, Daddy." She only noticed that the girl's body is transparent. Rene become scared and closed her eyes. "Daadd.. there's a ghost wu wu wu..." She said while pointing at Liberaine. 

The man quickly moved to caress her hair trying to calm her down. He looked next to him, still found nothing. He calmly said, "Rene, it is safe here. There's no one here. Daddy is strong so he can feel the presence of people. Only you and me are in this room." The man looked at her trembling daughter, he sighed. "Don't worry, there is no ghost. Trust daddy." 

Rene's body stops shaking. She slowly opens her eyes and looks at Liberaine who is still standing. She immediately closed her eyes, "Daddy, you liar wuwuwu." 

The man became worried because of her daughter's reaction. The fall on the pond might have an effect on her emotionally. He shouted, "Call Royal Doctor Phillip." He continued, "Immediately." 

"Yes, master." Following his master's order, the servant outside Rene's room departs.

Liberaine glanced at the little girl. Although she is the victim here because she didn't know why she is here in the first place, she still felt quite guilty and she is the reason why the little girl is scared witless right now. She didn't try to explain because she knew that it may trigger the little girl and become more scared of her.  

Liberaine immediately moved in the shade beside the cabinet. This place is out of sight in the little girl's eyes. Her eyebrows crease, feeling stressed. 'Uhh, if Lilibeth is the servant of this little princess, then there's a possibility that the body that I possessed is that young girl.  Is she showing her memories right now?'  

Liberaine shook her head in thought, 'This is definitely 'showing' but this situation is different, it literally shows the memory with me looking like a ghost inside, it felt like 3D, but she can see me and I can touch her.' 

'I can't understand, it really differs from the novels that I read. In the novels once they transmigrated the memory will pass on to the new owner of the body too, but hell, don't even think the memories even the language didn't pass on me.' 

Liberaine shakes her head and puts her thoughts at the back of her mind after she hears hurried footsteps outside the room. 

The doctor came, he checked the pulse of the little girl, and told them that her body is still the same as in the past. The little girl is stressed out because of the fall on the pond, and Rene's father doesn't need to be worried because it didn't cause a ripple in her mind. The father of the little girl sighed of relief when he heard the doctor's analysis. The doctor gave him a bottle and the effect is like the sleeping pills on the earth. He gave a reward to the doctor and stayed in the room of his daughter. 

He and the little girl are the only one left in the room. He waited for the little girl to be asleep after Rene drank the bottle. After the girl slept, he kissed the little girl's cheek and stepped outside. 

Liberaine, who saw the scene, began walking on the little girl's bed. Two steps away from the little girl, Liberaine again felt the strange attraction of her to the little girl, this time her mind didn't go blank and she walked forward. She studied the little girl's face and began to think that maybe the reason why she felt that this girl is quite familiar is because she now lives on her body.  

She hesitated to move her hands to touch her, afraid that she will wake up. But because of the strange attraction, she acts on instinct and touches her forehead. This time she felt the hotness of the skin of the little girl, not because she is sick, but because of the strange constitution of the girl. She felt her aura and studied it. Liberaine concentrated as she closed her eyes.

After finding the reason, she muttered, "So alike.. like the-" she opened her eyes and was shocked that the little girl's eye is now opened. Staring at her without emotion, different from the little girl who is scared witless while ago. Liberaine's eyes are on the little girl, the same as the latter. Liberaine felt that there was something pulling her on the girl's eyes, like someone was calling her. She lost herself and started to become dizzy, the dizziness took advantage of her and she staggered, but the scene soon changed after that. 

There's a tree just in front of her and she is touching it. Her position is the same. She now felt that she got a piece from a puzzle, she now knows that the little girl's body is this tree. The little girl's body is deteriorating the same as this tree. She bit her lip and said, "This is quite something... So my body now only has a year left huh." she closed her eyes after feeling drowsy again.  

After checking the little girl's body, she found out that the little girl's body is like this tree, wilting because of too much power inside. The body cannot contain it. So Liberaine estimated that the little girl will not pass 11 years old, and if her hunch is right that she possessed her body, then she will die at the age of 11. Liberaine remembers the body of her when she transmigrated and guesses that the body is at least 10 years old. The dizziness, confusion, worry, all of it are on her mind. At that time she heard a voice.  

"Rene.. •••• •••• •••••••" 

"••••••••• ••••••• ••••• Rene."  

The language that she doesn't know and a name. She felt the wind, coolness on her body combining with the hot feeling inside. She wanted to wiggle out herself in this dream, and now found that she cannot move. The scene blank out, only the darkness is her companion. And the feeling of dizziness and throwing out now covered her mind. 'I wanna throw up.'
