Family: will I ever get one

Chapter three

“Who is Gabriel?” I asked Ivor when he arrived about 20 minutes after the group had left me.

“He was a friend of your mom and dad.” Ivor said

“what do you mean he was a friend of my parents?” I asked.

“I’ll tell you what I mean by that but not out in the open lets go find a place to talk freely.” He said as he started to walk out from under the tree where I was. We had walked for about two hours before we were at an Bed and Breakfast where Ivor got us a room. After we had got some food brought up to us Ivor started to explain who was Gabriel and to tell me what he has to do with my parents.

“Ok let me start by saying that your father was a warlock and that your mom was a witch. They were both in different covens but they would meet every couple of days each week to go over the issue that the covens had an would come up with a plan to fix the issue.” Ivor said

“Ok if my parents had magic douse that mean that I do to.” I said without thinking.

“Yes you do but you will not get them until you turn 20. That is when you powers will come in to play and when we will get to see what you power will be.” He said. “Ok let me tell you how this had started. After about a month to tow months into your mom and dad meeting your dad had come to me to tell me that he had feelings for your mom, he also told me that he didn’t know how to tell her that he had feelings for her for the last two months. Me being the good friend that I was I told him to find her and to say how he felt about her and that I would go with him for support.”

“Ok tell me what had happened with Gabriel and my parents.”

“Ok. When me and your dad had found your mom she was waiting for your dad for the weekly meeting. She didn’t even get a chance to ask why I was there before your dad had said that he had fallen for her and that he wanted to marry her. Your dad wasn’t that good with saying how he felt.” Ivor said. “what we didn’t know at the time was that Gabriel was just behind us in a bush. You see Gabriel had a thing for your mom and he had shared his feelings with her but your mom had no feelings for Gabriel , she only had feelings for your father.”

“So this is the reason why I don’t have my parents or why my home was destroyed.” I said out of anger and frustration.

“Yes it’s part of the reason why the other part is because your parents had gone to the covens elders and ask if they could get married and to see if they where descend to be. The elders had said that they were both meant to be together and and that there children were to be grate.” Ivor said. “ that same day both of your parents had gone to get married and to start their own life.”

“Why would they get married that same day and not wait?” I asked not understanding the hurry to get married.

“Well you see when you get a blessing from the elders and they say that you are meant to be together and that you found your soul mate you tend to not waste time on trying to figure out the date you just do it.” Ivor said

“Let me guess Gabriel had heard all of this and had plot to get back at my mom and dad, right.”

“Yes he did do just that in the worst way possible.”

“What do you mean by that Ivor?” I asked him even though I didn’t want to know.

“Well Gabriel was really mad at what he had heard so he had gone to a dark witch to get a spell to put on ur dad so that he would not be able to get your mom pregnant.”

“What? Obviously it didn’t work.” I said interpretation him.

“But it did work because it had taken your mom and dad about four years to get pregnant with you, but that is not the worst thing.” Ivor said 

“What do you mean not the worst thing is there something else that he did?” I asked  worried as to the answer. 

“Yes there is. You see when your parents got engaged your mom was already expecting but no one had known that she was not even your dad. Your mom tried to hide it but it didn’t work. Ivor said in a sad manner.

“Please tell me that Gabriel didn’t find out.” I asked 

“I can’t because he did find out when he went to the dark witch to get the spell for your dad but the witch told him that it was to late for it so Gabriel had asked for a spell to get rid of the unborn baby and the witch was more than happy to do so if it was more money for her.” He said “and before you ask no your parents didn’t know about what Gabriel was doing until it was to late.”

“So I had an older brother or sister?” I asked

“Yes you do.” Ivor said to me 

“Wait don’t you mean did?” I said a little confused as to why he had said this

“No, you have an older brother, but before you get to happy he was raised by Gabriel.”
