Family: will I ever get one

Chapter two

  That was almost 3 months ago and it still seems unlikely that it even happened to me. I'm still learning how to control my new powers if you can call them that. That night when I had gotten the box an everything that came with It i had gone to bed but was woken up by the smell of something burning like a piece of paper or something so I had got up to see what it could be.When I did I found the source of it. It was because my home was going up in flames. As I was trying to figure out how it had started I was grabbed from behind letting out a screen in the process.

“Don’t worry I’m not going to hurt you, I’m trying to save you.” The person said.

I was still in a state of shock when the person was bringing me back into my room. After we where back in my room the person let go of me. After I was free from the person hold I tuned around to see that there was a man standing there.

“Who are you an why are you here?” I asked the man that was before me.

“We don’t have time for that right now. I need to know where are the clothes that you had got today, you will need them very soon.” The man said to me all I could do was to point to my dresser. The man got the point of what I was trying to say.

The man then whet over to my dresser to find the new clothes. I could tell that he was in a hurry to get out of my house as quickly as possible that mad me go to my closet to get out the shoes that I had got today and brought them over to the man so he could put them in a bag. I also noticed that he had put some other things in the bag as well.

“We need to go through the window to get out.” The man said to me.

“Ok" is all I say as I go to the window to open it but before I do I feel something come over me I couldn’t tell what it was or where it came from I just felt it. Pushing aside the feeling I’m having I open my window an climb out of the window with the guy right behind me.As I was out of the window I looked back at my home and realized just how bad the fire was. The fire had consumed more then half of the house it was now just getting to my room I could see that it was burning hot an fast like it was done on purpose.

As I stand there looking at my home an realize that I now have nothing that I worked for I turn to the guy that helped me get out only to realize that I'm all by myself just standing there. I look down to see my bag and an envelop on top. I picked it up along with my bag an started to walk. I didn't know where I was going or how far I would go. I just wanted to get away before anyone came.

I don't know how long I walked for but I had found a little Bed an Breakfast an desieded to stop an rest for the night because tomorrow was a new day an I could start fresh.

When I got up the next day I realized that it was later then I was hoping to getting up.After I got out of bed and got ready for the day I had realized that the envelope that was on my bag last night I had never opened it to see what was in it. So I went to my bag to find what I did with it. The envelope was in the inside pocket of my duffle bag. 

When I opened it up and looked in it had some money in it about 50$ I didn’t take the money out to count it but I did take out a piece of paper and a photo. I looked at the photo first to see if I could recognize in it an I did. The photo was of 3 people two of the three was my mom an dad that I had lost at a young age. The 3rd person I didn’t know but he looked familiar like I had see him or had met him before but then again I didn’t really know an I had no one to ask if he was a family friend or not. I then picked up the letter

Hello again, I’m going to guess that you are wondering how you got into this place. The answer to that is as this on your birthday your powers are going to be unlocked. You see when you where a baby I had come to your home by request by your mom because you had already started to show what your powers would do. In truth I put a spell on you that day to keep your powers locked up until you turn 20, granted that is still about there weeks away. But because of the fire that was set in your home I have to protect you until then. Do not stay in one place for to long for the people that started that fire will do it again if they find you.

So with that said keep moving, only stop for a night or some place where there is a lot of people. Hat way it would be harder for the people to find you. I know this is a lot to think about but I need to keep you safe just like I promised your mom an dad. I just hope that I can. I will be following you about half of a mile behind you so I can make sure that you are not being followed. In this envelope you will find $50 and a photo of your mom dad and of me so you know what I look like, for when we meet the next time. Again I’m sorry this happened to you this way instead of how I was planning on doing this. I will meet up with you at the town line, I don’t want you to stay in this town anymore. Hope you are safe and always listen to your instincts. I’m going to end this letter for now when we meet again I will explain everything and answer your questions, an so you know my name is Ivor. After I got done with reading the letter I reread it again hoping that I read it wrong, but as seeing that I didn’t I put it back in the envelope with the money and went back into the bathroom to put new clothes on. When I came back out  I put my dirty clothes in one of the side pockets. I then picked up my bag and went down to the man floor of the  bed and breakfast  to check out  so I can meet Ivor at the town line so I can finally get some answers as to way I was raised without my parents an why I was raised in the foster care system until I was 18 years old.

I had to stop three more time before I got to the town line. I did as Ivor said in his letter only stopping when I was to tired to go any further and to get food and water. I also thought of getting a car but that would have left a trail for who ever to find me faster. It only took me about 3 days to get to the town line.

I didn’t know where Ivor wanted me to meet him so I tried to find a spot that was more covered. Ivor never said what time to meet him so I just thought to wait for him in the spot that I found was more covered then opened. It helped to keep me from being seen and I had a good place to see if anyone thought to attack me or got an idea about it I would see them first. At least I would have hoped that I would see someone. As I was starting to get hungry an thinking if I should leave to get some food for myself when I noticed a group of people looking at me. When I saw them doing it again out of the corner of my eye I got a bad feeling that they were not just going to go away without confronting me.

I try to move away from the tree but I see that the group of four, two men an two woman are moving to fast for me to do anything, I know that this is going to go bad just for the fact that I am out number. Trying my best to move from the tree just to be blocked by one of the woman in my path. I look in the other direction to see the same thing but it was one of the men.

“Are you going somewhere little girl.” One of the men ask me

“No I’m just waiting for my friend to come and pick me up.” I say back. As I try to think of a way out of this.

“Oh really. Well I guess we should let you know that me and my friends will be following you and your friend.” The man says

“Why would you follow me and my friend, you don’t even know me.”

“Oh but my boss does and he is very unhappy about the fact that you had escape from the fire.” The man said to me as he was coming closer to me.

“How do you know about that?”

“I know because I was the one that started it an by the way when your friend gets here tell him that Gabriel says that he will see both of you soon.” The man said about half of a foot away from me.
