Honestly... F**k Everyone

474 Words
Glow'd had it all planned out the night before. She had considered from drowning to drinking sniper. She'd always loved water, could swim like a fish, and dying by water seemed to be the easiest way to go. Her plan didn't seem to have worked because she found herself in a hospital the moment she opened her eyes. Glow wanted to cry. Why does nothing work out the way she plans it? Her vision was a little blurry, but she could see the white coat worn by someone... a woman? "Hello." Yes, a woman. "I'm so glad you're awake. Finally." Unfortunately. "My name is Doctor Sola." Glow wanted to roll her eyes. Did the woman expect her to respond somehow? "I think the others would be really excited to know that you're finally conscious." Others? "Especially Nduka," she added. "He's the one who saved you." Saved?! The name she mentioned sounded familiar. A popular name in her hospital, unless it's someone else... What hospital was she at anyway? "Well, I think it's best that you rest for a bit," Dr. Sola said, touching her arm lightly before walking out. Glow sighed, closing her eyes. "So, she's okay, right?" "Yes. She was so calm, which I don't think is a very good thing though." "I just don't understand her actions. Why would she–?" Glow groaned. She'd tried to move a bit but for some reason, her body hurt. "Glow?" How did they know her name? Did she say her name out loud somehow? "I think it's better to let her be for a while, okay?" "I guess." "Go back to work. I'll tell you if anything happens." "Okay, thanks. I'll appreciate it." She heard the door open and close. It didn't take long for her to fall into a deep sleep, dreaming. She was now an only child - all three siblings dead, leaving her. They were never close but that didn't mean that she didn't feel sad. But her father was now blaming her for the death of her siblings because they didn't have that great of a relationship. After years of abuse from her stepmother, the woman decided to crown it all by accusing her of murder. After both 'parents' guilt-tripping her for money and to come and visit, she faced her extended family, who somehow wanted to purge the ‘jealous demon’ from her that led her to kill her siblings, as her 'parents' had told them she was the one who did it. Though they died by a plane crash. She was humiliated and being accused of murder. Life being cruel wasn't new, but now she was just tired of everything. That's why she almost jumped into the water at her favourite beach. The water was sure to wash her tears and pain away. But it was all ruined.
