Emily's heart was racing as she waited for Jack to reveal the secrets he had promised to share. She felt like she was on the edge of a cliff, staring into an unknown abyss.
Jack leaned forward, his eyes locked on Emily's. "I know this is going to sound crazy," he said, "but I've been searching for you for a very long time."
Emily's brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?" she asked.
Jack took a deep breath before continuing. "I mean that I've been searching for you across different lifetimes."
Emily's eyes widened in shock. "Different lifetimes?" she repeated.Jack nodded. "Yes. I believe that our souls are connected, Emily. We've known each other before, in past lives."
Emily felt like she had been punched in the gut. She didn't know what to make of Jack's words, or how to process the emotions that were swirling inside her.
But as she looked into Jack's eyes, she saw something there that gave her pause. She saw a deep sincerity, a sense of conviction that made her wonder if maybe, just maybe, Jack was telling the truth.
"Tell me more," Emily said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jack smiled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I've been searching for you for centuries," he said. "I've seen you in my dreams, felt your presence in my heart."
As Jack spoke, Emily felt a strange sensation wash over her. It was as if she was remembering something, something that she had forgotten long ago.
"What's happening?" Emily asked, feeling a sense of wonder.Jack's eyes locked on hers. "You're remembering," he said. "You're remembering our past lives together."
Emily's mind was reeling as she tried to process the implications of Jack's words. Was it really possible that their souls were connected across different lifetimes?
As she looked into Jack's eyes, Emily felt a sense of connection that she couldn't ignore. She felt like she had known him before, like their hearts were beating as one."I think I'm starting to remember," Emily said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jack's face lit up with a radiant smile. "I knew you would," he said. "I knew that our connection was real."
As they sat there, hands touching, hearts beating as one, Emily felt like she was home. She felt like she had finally found the missing piece of her soul.
