“Nix… Nix, wake up…”
Phoenix sleepily opened his eyes. Zuriel was smiling at him while holding his hand.
“Wake up. I need to take you home now.”
Phoenix sat up and realized it was still dark outside. “What time is it?”
Zuriel looked at his watch, “it’s two in the morning. I need to take you home before Alistair gets back to the city in the morning.”
Phoenix grunted sleepily, “how sure are you that my security guards earlier haven't reported it to Alistair yet.”
“I don’t actually know. I just have a hunch. So, get up and we’ll leave now.”
Zuriel let go of his hand and stood up. He walked towards the window and peeked outside through the blinds. Phoenix just kept his eyes on him, thinking he had overreacted earlier. He stood up and walked towards him.
