I was squashed beside Tom on the bus as we drove to the Red Shadow Pack.
“I hope you aren’t going to let your affliction with Georgie affect how you play the game today…” Tom scolded me. I held my hands up in defence.
“I swear, it won’t change anything.” I promised.
“He will want to impress her if anything!” Matt said as he shoved me on my shoulder. I chucked. He wasn’t wrong.
“But if Nathan gets the shits because he is losing, we don’t back down. Right?” Tom raised his eyebrows at me accusingly.
“I promise.” I laughed.
The bus started pulling into the oval parking lot. Coach Louis stood up at the front of the bus to get everyone’s attention. I stopped myself from rolling my eyes at him.
